Dynamic vehicle steering and/or suspension constraints

This application describes systems and techniques for adjusting one or more setting(s) of a vehicle based on detected condition(s) to avoid damage due to contact of the tires with a body, chassis, or other components of the vehicle. In some instances, the vehicle may determine a ride height of the vehicle, determine a limited range of steering angles based at least in part on the ride height, and control operation of the steering system of the vehicle based at least in part on the limited range of steering angles. In some instances, the vehicle may determine a steering angle of the vehicle, determine a limited range of ride heights based at least in part on the steering angle, and control operation of the suspension system of the vehicle based at least in part on the limited range of ride heights.

SECURING ATTACHMENTS TO WORK VEHICLES WITH SUSPENSION CONTROL

A system and a method for securing an attachment to a work vehicle with a chassis and a suspension are described. A mounting frame with a frame attachment point disposed on a support can be attached to a work vehicle. The suspension can be caused to lower the mounting frame relative to ground by lowering the chassis of the work vehicle. The work vehicle can be maneuvered to align the frame attachment point with a corresponding attachment point on the attachment. The suspension can then be caused to raise the mounting frame relative to ground by raising the chassis of the work vehicle. The frame attachment point can thereby engage the corresponding attachment point on the attachment, as the mounting frame is raised, in order to lift the attachment, with the attachment being thereby supported by the work vehicle solely via the mounting frame.

Multi-Bar Linkage Electric Drive System

An electric drive system including: a rotary motor system including a hub assembly, a first rotating assembly, a second rotating assembly, and a third rotating assembly, wherein the hub assembly defines a rotational axis about which the first rotating assembly, the second rotating assembly, and the third rotating assembly are coaxially aligned and are capable of independent rotational movement independent of each other; a multi-bar linkage mechanism connected to each of the first and third rotating assemblies and connected to the hub assembly and constraining movement of the hub assembly so that the rotational axis of the hub assembly moves along a defined path that is in a transverse direction relative to the rotational axis and wherein the multi-bar linkage mechanism causes the rotational axis of the hub assembly to translate along the defined path in response to relative rotation of the first rotating assembly and the third rotating assembly with respect to each other.

Leveling system for lift device

A leveling system for a lift device includes a control system. The control system has programmed instructions to acquire operation data regarding operation of the lift device, fluidly couple a first leveling actuator and a second leveling actuator based on the operation data, acquire an update regarding the operation data, fluidly decouple the first leveling actuator and the second leveling actuator based on the update regarding the operation data, and selectively control the first leveling actuator and the second leveling actuator to (i) selectively reposition a first tractive element and a second tractive element relative to each other about a longitudinal axis defined by the lift device and (ii) selectively reposition the first tractive element and the second tractive element about a first lateral axis defined by the lift device.

Vehicle height adjusting apparatus

A vehicle height adjusting apparatus according to one aspect includes: a vehicle height adjusting member that adjusts height of a seat of a saddle-type vehicle, using hydraulic pressure; an oil supplying portion that supplies oil to the vehicle height adjusting member, using a motor; and a control section that estimates a load applied to the vehicle height adjusting member, from a current supplied to the motor and a stroke correspondence quantity of the vehicle height adjusting member, and controls the oil supplying portion based on the load to adjust the height of the seat.

Relative velocity based actuator velocity calibration system

A milling machine has a frame, ground engaging tracks that support the frame, a first actuator connecting the frame to a first track of the ground engaging tracks and a second actuator connecting the frame to a second track from the ground engaging tracks. The milling machine has an orientation sensor that determines an orientation of the frame. The milling machine has a controller that operates the first and second actuators to raise or lower the frame. The controller determines the frame orientation using the orientation sensor. The controller also determines a velocity error between actuator velocities of the first and second actuators based on the frame orientation and a target orientation of the frame. The controller determines a control parameter for the second actuator based on the velocity error and operates the second actuator using the determined control parameter.
