Modular electronic damping control
A modular electronic damping control system is described and includes a damping component located at a vehicle suspension location. The modular electronic damping control system also includes a control system configured to control the damping component, and determine the type of damping component present. Also, the control system is configured to automatically tune a vehicle's suspension based on the type of damping component present, and automatically monitor the damping component and determine when a change has been made to the damping component so that the control system can then automatically re-tune the vehicle's suspension based on the change to the damping component.
Adjustable sensitivity controlling system for shock absorbers
This invention pertains to shock absorbers, and a method of controlling their operation. Specifically, this invention relates to use of a user interface allowing to control the sensitivity of various parameters used by a programmed electronic control unit. When in operation, said electronic control unit automatically send calculated and user-adjusted electronic signals to electronic control devices which proportionally regulate flow of fluid within each shock absorbers of a vehicle.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SUSPENSION SET UP
A method and apparatus are disclosed that assist a user in performing proper setup of a vehicle suspension. A user may utilize a device equipped with an image sensor to assist the user in proper setup of a vehicle suspension. The device executes an application that prompts the user for input and instructs the user to perform a number of steps for adjusting the suspension components. In one embodiment, the application does not communicate with sensors on the vehicle. In another embodiment, the application may communicate with various sensors located on the vehicle to provide feedback to the device during the setup routine. In one embodiment, the device may analyze a digital image of a suspension component to provide feedback about a physical characteristic of the component.
Suspension system with on-demand full damper capacity
A suspension control system for a vehicle may include a plurality of adjustable dampers associated with suspension of respective ones of a plurality of wheels of the vehicle, a controller operably coupled to the adjustable dampers to selectively adjust a damping force of one or more of the adjustable dampers responsive to an activation signal, and a driver interface disposed at a steering wheel assembly of the vehicle. The driver interface may be actuated by a driver of the vehicle to apply the activation signal while the driver interface is actuated.
COOPERATIVE CONTROL MODULE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND VEHICLE
A cooperative control module, an adaptive cruise system and a control method thereof, and a vehicle are provided. The adaptive cruise system comprises a vehicle sensor module, a driving environment intelligent sensing module, a vehicle state response estimation module, an adaptive cruise and controllable suspension cooperative control module, and a power control module. The control method of adaptive cruise is optional, one is according to the cruise speed set by the driver, and the other one is according to the cruise comfort set by the driver. In the case of adaptive cruising according to cruise comfort, the optimal cruise speed is intelligently calculated by the adaptive cruise and controllable suspension system based on driving conditions and driver's demands. The controllable suspension is controlled cooperatively during cruising, and the suspension control parameters are adaptively switched according to the performance requirements of the vehicle under different driving conditions.
Robot
A robot according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise: a base; a driving wheel protruding downward from the base; a plate spaced upward from the base; a through hole formed at the plate; a suspension bar including a shaft part rotatably connected to the base and vertically extending upward, and a screw part vertically extending from an upper end of the shaft part toward the through hole; a slider sliding along the shaft part and connected to the driving wheel; a bushing top configured to move up and down along the screw part when the suspension bar rotates; a spring located on an outer circumference of the suspension bar and located between the bushing top and the slider; and a motor disposed above the plate and connected to the screw part through the through hole to rotate the suspension bar.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM OF A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
An air suspension system of a commercial vehicle comprises an electronic control device with a level control valve device. A valve element is coupled to a drive element mechanically coupled to a vehicle wheel or axle. In a first relative position of the valve element and a counter valve element, a port for an air suspension bellow is blocked. In a second relative position, the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to a port for an aeration device. In a third relative position, the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to a port for a deaeration device. Control logic generates a control signal for an actuator which, when a level change is set by an operator, correspondingly changes the relative position of the valve element and the counter valve element or the relative position of the counter valve element and a valve housing.
ADJUSTABLE VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping profile and a driver actuatable input. The driver actuatable input may be positioned to be actuatable by the driver in the absence of requiring a removal of either of the hands of the driver from a steering device of the vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ADJUSTABLE DAMPER
A method for controlling vehicle motion is described. The method includes accessing a set of control signals including a measured vehicle speed value associated with a movement of a vehicle. A control signal associated with user-induced input is also accessed. The method compares the measured vehicle speed value with a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value to achieve a speed value threshold approach status, and then compares the set of values to achieve a user-induced input threshold value approach status. The method monitors a state of a valve within the vehicle suspension damper, and determines a control mode for the vehicle suspension damper. The method also regulates damping forces within the vehicle suspension damper.
