A dishwasher may include a spray arm arrangement and a washing chamber. The spray arm arrangement may include a spray arm arranged to rotate around a first axis of rotation within said washing chamber. The spray arm may be provided with one or more spray nozzles arranged to spray washing liquid into said washing chamber. The dishwasher may also include a mechanical switch for detecting an angular position of said spray arm. The spray arm arrangement may further include an activating device arranged to rotate with said spray arm, which activating device may include at least one activating structure arranged to cyclically activate said mechanical switch during rotation of said spray arm.
System and associated method for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher
A method, system, and computer-program product for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a method for preventing overfilling in a dishwasher is provided, wherein the dishwasher includes a water valve for providing water to the dishwasher and a drain pump for removing water from the dishwasher. The method comprises detecting an overfill condition in the dishwasher with at least one detection device, wherein the overfill condition corresponds to a water level in the dishwasher that is greater than a predetermined threshold. The method further includes controlling the drain pump and the water valve in response to detecting the overfill condition in order to facilitate removal of the overfill condition.

A system for ascertaining fresh water consumption by an, in particular, commercial dishwasher (1) or a component thereof. The system includes a container (12, 22) for temporarily storing liquids, wherein the container (12, 22) has a liquid inlet (25), which can be flow-connected to a fresh water source if required, and a liquid outlet (23), which can be flow-connected to a freshwater consuming means, in particular a freshwater consuming means of the dishwasher (1), if required. The system further includes at least one pressure sensor (B3, B4) for detecting an, in particular, hydrostatic pressure in the container (12, 22), and an evaluation device which is designed to ascertain a fresh water volume flow into the container (12, 22) depending on at least one output value of the at least one pressure sensor (B3, B4).

A commercial dishwasher includes at least one washing system for washing washware, having at least one rinsing system for rinsing the washed washware, and optionally a drying system for optimal drying of the rinsed washware. Provided herein is an arrangement for a dishwasher for creating a wash zone with a selectable position within a washing chamber of the dishwasher. The arrangement may include a water spray arm rotatably arranged around an axis in the washing chamber, and a support element arranged to support the spray arm in the washing chamber. The support element may lock the spray arm in at least one position within the washing chamber. The arrangement may include a control unit arranged to control the operation of the dishwasher and a user interface for selecting the desired wash zone position within the washing chamber, and arranged to communicate the information to the control unit. The control unit may lock the support element in the selected position to create the wash zone. A dishwasher that includes the arrangement and a method for creating a wash zone with a selectable position are provided.
Auxiliary gray water source device for commercial kitchens
An auxiliary gray water supply device captures used wash water from a commercial warewashing machine for supply to a pre-rinse station without substantial modification of the commercial warewashing machine. The captured wash water and treatment agent are delivered to a pre-rinse station for pre-rinsing of dishes that will be washed within the commercial warewashing machine.

Arrangement in a dishwasher for creating a wash zone with intensified washing
Provided herein is an arrangement in a dishwasher for creating a wash zone with intensified washing in a washing chamber. The arrangement may include a spray arm rotatably arranged around an axis A; a water pump arranged to feed water to the spray arm; and a control unit arranged to control operation of the water pump. At least one additional nozzle may be is arranged on the spray arm. The additional nozzle may be arranged to be opened when the pressure in the water fed from the water pump to the spray arm exceeds a predetermined level. A dishwasher including the described arrangement is also provided.
