Methods and apparatus to determine vehicle weight
Methods and apparatus to determine vehicle weight are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a suspension airbag, a pump fluidly coupled to the suspension airbag, the pump to control a fluid pressure in the suspension airbag to cause ride height adjustments for a vehicle, a motor operatively coupled to the pump, and processor circuitry to calculate a weight of the vehicle based on an offset between (a) a first motor input that causes the vehicle to rise or lower when the vehicle is unloaded and (b) a second motor input that causes the vehicle to rise or lower when the vehicle is carrying a load.
FLUID-BASED SUSPENSION SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE
A fluid-based suspension system of a vehicle including a first suspension device comprising a movable first piston dividing a first cylinder into a first piston rod side chamber and a first piston side chamber. The fluid-based suspension system further including a second suspension device, comprising a movable second piston dividing a second cylinder into a second piston rod side chamber and a second piston side chamber, and a fluid connection system configured to set the fluid-based suspension system to one of a first and a second operating mode.
Water drainage systems and methods for vehicles
Systems and methods are provided for draining water from surfaces of vehicles. The systems may include a mechanism onboard the vehicle configured to adjust a pitch angle or a roll angle of the vehicle, and a controller configured to, by one or more processors, determine a stance of the vehicle relative to gravity, and adjust, with the mechanism, the pitch angle or the roll angle of the vehicle to define an adjusted stance of the vehicle sufficient for a surface of the vehicle to exceed a drainage angle and thereby promote a directional flow of water from the surface.
Fluid system for a vehicle
A fluid system for a vehicle includes a pump for delivering a fluid, wherein the pump has a first and a second fluid connections, a first and a second actuators to be connected to the first fluid connection via a first and a second actuator valves, respectively, wherein the pump is designed to deliver fluid in a first delivery direction and in a second delivery direction, so that the first actuator and the second actuator are fluidically pressurized by the pump via the first fluid connection when the pump delivers in the first delivery direction, and a control valve for controlling the first and the second actuator valves. The control valve is fluidically separated from the second fluid connection when the pump delivers in the first delivery direction, and the control valve is connected to the second fluid connection when the pump delivers in the second delivery direction.
Fluid system for a vehicle
A fluid system for a vehicle, preferably for a vehicle chassis, includes: a pump for delivering a fluid, wherein the pump has a first fluid connection and a second fluid connection, an actuator which can be connected to the first fluid connection in a fluid-communicating manner via an actuator valve, wherein the pump is designed to deliver the fluid to be delivered in a first delivery direction and in a second delivery direction opposite the first delivery direction, so that the actuator is fluidically pressurized by the pump via the first fluid connection when the pump delivers in the first delivery direction, and the actuator is fluidically separated from the first fluid connection depending on the position of the actuator valve or the actuator is fluidically relieved by the pump via the first fluid connection when the pump delivers in the second delivery direction.
