A washing machine having a first single phase electric motor, a second single phase electric motor and an electric drive unit for the electric motors. The electric drive unit is connected to power supply lines and comprises three first legs, each leg comprising a pair of switches. Electrical terminals of the first electric motor are connected to the first and second legs of the electric drive unit and electrical terminals of the second electric motor are connected to the second and third legs of the electric drive unit.
Estimating water fill rate in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods
A method and corresponding appliance for carrying out the method may include detecting insufficient circulation pump pressure or process water flow rate through a circulation pump of the appliance, supplying water to a compartment of the appliance and logging a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment and increasing the speed of the circulation pump to a target pump speed where the circulation pump pressure or the process water flow rate through the circulation pump has reached a sufficient operational level. The method may include logging at least two circulation pump speeds and a time period during which the water is supplied to the compartment, and estimating the water fill rate based on predetermined difference in compartment process water volume for the logged at least two speeds and the water supply time period.
Method of separating chemistries in a door-type dishmachine
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes at least two tanks and methods of using the tanks to isolate, substantially isolate, or incrementally isolate different chemistries from each other during a cycle. The disclosed dishmachine design and method allows for the use of two different, and potentially incompatible, reactive, or offsetting chemistries to be used in the same dishmachine cycle.
Dish washer
A dish washer and a control method are disclosed. The dish washer includes a sump and at least one nozzle configured to inject water. The dish washer also includes a distributor configured to receive water of the sump and distribute the water to the at least one nozzle. The dish washer also includes a reservoir configured to receive and store the water of the sump. The dish washer also includes a circulation path configured to connect the sump and the distributor. The dish washer also includes an inflow path configured to branch off from the circulation path to supply the water of the sump to the reservoir. The dish washer also includes a first valve configured to open or close the inflow path and a second valve configured to open or close the outflow path, and the outflow path is configured to flow the water out of the reservoir.
HEATED WASH FLUID CIRCULATION SYSTEM FOR HIGH SPEED REUSABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER WASHING SYSTEM
A beverage container washing system may utilize a heated wash fluid circulation system to circulate wash fluid retained in a line between a tank and a sprayer to enable fluid that is supplied to the sprayer to be maintained at a suitable temperature for washing and/or sanitizing a beverage container, and in many instances regardless of the amount of time between wash cycles.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND METHODS FOR ADDRESSING OBSTRUCTIONS THEREIN
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as detecting a pressure (P1) at a pressure sensor upstream from a pump while maintaining the pump in an inactive state and activating the pump from the inactive state for an activation period during which the pump remains active to motivate a continuous fluid flow. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P2) at the pressure sensor upstream from the pump during the activation period and initiating a response sequence at the pump based on P1 and P2.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND METHODS FOR ADDRESSING OBSTRUCTION THEREIN
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as activating the drain pump for an activation period and receiving a pump-status signal during the activation period. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P1) upstream from the drain pump during the activation period, determining a condition at the filter based on the pump-status signal and P1, and directing the drain pump based on the determined condition.
Control method of dishwasher
A method of controlling a dishwasher including a tub, at least one spray nozzle, a rack, and a microphone, includes: spraying, by the at least one spray nozzle, washing water while the at least one spray nozzle is rotating, analyzing a characteristic of a sound wave input to the microphone, the sound wave being generated based on the washing water colliding with one or more washing targets in the tub, determining whether a washing target made of a set material is present among the one or more washing targets based on the analyzed characteristic, determining, based on determining that the washing target made of the set material is present, a location in which the washing target made of the set material is present according to the analyzed characteristic, and reducing an amount of impact applied to the washing target made of the set material by the washing water.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID, IN PARTICULAR IN A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A vessel contains a quantity of liquid and has a duct connected to an outlet of the vessel. A dispensing device can be actuated in order to cause the quantity of liquid to flow out of the vessel through the duct. A color sensor is also included, which faces towards a monitoring region situated in one of the vessel, the duct and the dispensing device. The color sensor is configured for providing a color signal indicative of the color of the quantity of liquid arriving at the monitoring region. A control device is configured for receiving the color signal from the color sensor and for actuating the dispensing device as a function of the color signal. A method is for dispensing the quantity of liquid from the vessel.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CLEANING WASHWARE IN A DISHWASHER
A dishwasher (1), in particular a commercial dishwasher (1), which is in the form of a box-type dishwasher and has a treatment chamber (2) which can be closed and in which washware can be treated in accordance with a predefined or predefinable treatment program, wherein a washware detector apparatus (51) is designed to detect the type of washware to be, wherein the washware detector apparatus (51) has an optical identification system, which is oriented toward the washware to be treated, and an evaluation device, wherein the optical identification system is designed to record at least a portion of the light reflected by the washware to be treated as a reflection image, and wherein the evaluation device is designed to automatically distinguish between different types of washware on the basis of the recorded reflection image, wherein the extent of the reflection provides information about the type of washware.
