VEHICLE HAVING ADJUSTABLE COMPRESSION AND REBOUND DAMPING
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame are disclosed. The vehicle including at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping characteristic.
Automatic tilting vehicle
An automatic tilting vehicle comprises left and right front wheels and a rear wheel. A control unit controls a vehicle tilting device so that the tilt angle of the vehicle becomes the target tilt angle. The control device is configured to swingingly vibrates the vehicle in the lateral direction by tilting the vehicle by the vehicle tilting device, to estimate a height of the center of gravity of the vehicle based on a resonance period of swinging vibration of the vehicle, and to correct the target tilt angle such that a perpendicular passing through the estimated center of gravity passes within a range of a triangle formed by connecting grounding points of the left and right front wheels and a grounding point of the rear wheel.
Electromagnetic suspension apparatus
An object of the present invention is to obtain an electromagnetic suspension apparatus capable of meeting a request to improve ride comfort irrespective of a magnitude of a spring constant preset in a spring member. The electromagnetic suspension apparatus includes an electromagnetic actuator that generates a driving force related to vibration damping of the vehicle body, an information acquisition unit that acquires information on a stroke position of the electromagnetic actuator, and an ECU that calculates a target driving force of the electromagnetic actuator and controls a driving force of the electromagnetic actuator using the calculated target driving force. When the stroke position acquired by the information acquisition unit is in a neutral range including a neutral position, the ECU corrects the target driving force so as to reduce a spring force related to the spring member as compared with when the stroke position is in a non-neutral range.
THREE-WHEELED VEHICLE
A three-wheeled vehicle having a frame with articulated four-link straight line linkage mechanism mounted thereon, said mechanism including lateral arms arranged symmetrically about the axis of symmetry of the vehicle, and also one conditionally front wheel, and two conditionally rear wheels, each having an axis. The articulated four-link straight line linkage mechanism also includes a linear steering mechanism, a T-shaped arm, a short central arm, an O-shaped bracket, a rubber-strand torsion member of the conditionally front wheel, and one rubber-strand torsion member and L-shaped wheel arm per each conditionally rear wheel, which form a rear axle connected to the linear steering mechanism via the T-shaped linkage arm. The result is increased stability when cornering at a speed, and more accurate steering.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A TILTABLE VEHICLE
A vehicle of the present disclosure may include at least one pair of opposing wheels coupled to a tiltable central chassis by a four-bar linkage or the like, such that the wheels are configured to tilt in unison with the central chassis. A steering actuator and/or a tilting actuator may be discretely controllable by an electronic controller of the vehicle. The controller may include processing logic configured to maintain alignment between a median plane of the chassis and a net force vector caused by gravity and any induced centrifugal forces. Various control algorithms may be utilized to steer the vehicle along a desired path, either autonomously or semi-autonomously.
Vehicle having adjustable suspension
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping profile.
AN AMPHIBIOUS MULTI-TERRAIN WATER PLANING HIGH SPEED TRACKED VEHICLE
An amphibious multi-terrain water planing vehicle including: a. a hull having a top, a bottom, a front end, a rear end, a first side and a second side; b. at least one track frame, in exemplary embodiments a pair of track frames, mounted to the hull; c. a sole propulsion and water planing device including at least one continuous rotatable track having an outside surface and an inside surface, in exemplary embodiments a pair of continuous rotatable tracks, mounted to the at least one track frame, in exemplary embodiments each of the pair of continuous rotatable tracks mounted to each of the pair of track frames; the at least one continuous rotatable track, in exemplary embodiments the pair of continuous rotatable tracks not vertically adjustable relative to the hull wherein the vehicle when transitioning from land to water and vice versa requiring no modification, and wherein the vehicle is able to plane on water from a stand still position.
Steering system for in-wheel motor vehicle
The present invention provides a steering system for an in-wheel motor vehicle capable of controlling driving torques and speeds of in-wheel motors mounted in left and right wheels to be different from each other at the time of curve driving of the vehicle to generate a steering angle of the wheel for the curve driving, and performing a steering angle control of sensing the generated steering angle and fixing the steering angle to a desired steering angle.
Vehicle having adjustable compression and rebound damping
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame are disclosed. The vehicle including at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping characteristic.
Method and device for controlling vehicle lateral dynamics
Technologies and techniques for producing a yawing movement in order to control the driving dynamics of a vehicle. A target yawing movement of the vehicle is determined from a target yaw rate preset by a preset steering angle, such that the vehicle can pass through the preset steering angle at the current vehicle speed, and the target yawing movement being divided into a steering yawing movement produced by the steering system, a rolling yawing movement and a drive yawing movement, wherein the rolling yawing movement is divided into individual rolling yawing movements of the individual wheels, which can be variably set.
