Chemical dosing system
Disclosed herein is a chemical dosing system for an appliance, such as a laundry washing machine or a dishwashing machine, having a water inlet, the system comprising a meter for determining the volume of water supplied to the appliance, a pump for dispensing a quantity of a chemical to the appliance and a control unit arranged to receive a signal from the meter and to cause to be dispensed to the appliance a volume of chemical that is proportional to the quantity of water supplied to the appliance. The disclosed system may enable a correct quantity of chemical to be automatically dispensed to many types of appliance, without the need to know anything about the appliance, or to derive electrical signal from the appliance.
METHODS FOR DISPENSING A TREATING CHEMISTRY IN A DISHWASHER
A dishwasher has a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to an automatic cycle of operation and a dispensing system for storing and dispensing a treating chemistry to the treating chamber during the cycle of operation. The dishwasher may dispense a treating chemistry when a temperature of a liquid in the treating chamber satisfies a predetermined temperature threshold. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained to satisfy the predetermined temperature threshold for a predetermined period of time based on the treating chemistry.

AUTOCALIBRATING DOSING METHOD
A dosing method for dosing a chemical product, particularly a detergent, in a dishwasher includes detecting a first loading signal of a washing liquid in a washing tank of the dishwasher; dosing a first quantity of chemical product in the washing liquid to obtain a washing mixture; detecting a conductivity value of the washing mixture at a first loading condition of the dishwasher; storing a conductivity threshold value equal to the conductivity value of the washing mixture at a first loading condition; and dosing of a further quantity of chemical product in the washing mixture at an operation condition of the dishwasher in such a way to adjust a further conductivity value of the washing mixture detected in the operating condition until reaching the conductivity threshold value.
Optimized dosing procedure for a washing machine
The present invention relates to a method of controlling a dispenser for dosing a product in a washing machine leading to an optimized dosing result, a dispenser controller programmed with an algorithm to execute the method of the present invention as well as to the use of said dispenser for controlling dosing of a product in a washing machine.
Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser with Reduced Noise
A dishwasher detergent dispenser includes a viscous damper allowing a dispenser door to be preloaded with a sufficiently strong spring to overcome resistance caused by detergent encrustation and the like while significantly reducing noise caused by the door opening.
Dishwasher and dispensing assembly
A dishwasher having a tub having an open face and at least partially defining a treating chamber for holding dishes during an automatic cycle of operation, a door moveably mounted between an opened position, wherein a user the treating chamber is accessible, and a closed position, wherein the door closes the open face of the tub and dispensing assembly configured to activate an indicator to emit a human-detectable signal in response to a first signal indicating a predetermined amount of treating chemistry and a second signal indicating a predetermined amount of illumination.
Dish treating appliance with leak detection
A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation and including a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, multiple sprayers emitting a liquid into the treating chamber, and a diverter valve having a rotatable valve body, which can be rotated to discrete rotational positions to selectively fluidly couple with the multiple sprayers. A rotary drive is located exteriorly of the tub and comprises a housing defining an interior with a liquid leak reservoir, a motor carried by the housing, an output shaft rotationally driven by the motor, extending through the housing and the tub, and operably coupled to the valve body, and a printed circuit board (PCB) located within the housing.
LEARNING DISPENSING SYSTEM FOR WATER INLET HOSE
A retrofit auxiliary device for distributing cleaning resources to a household cleaning appliance having a treating chamber is described wherein the device can connect to various household cleaning appliances of different makes and models and can learn the flow of water and detergent during various stages of operation and then perform the dispensing itself.
Solid chemical product dispensing using recycled fluid
Dispensing techniques utilize existing fluid to dispense a solid block of chemical product concentrate. The solid chemical product concentrate may include, for example, detergents, disinfectants, sanitizers, rinse agents, or other cleaning agents. The dispenser monitors and controls the concentration of the chemical product in a use solution. When the concentration of the use solution falls outside of a target range, the dispenser routes existing fluid from within the system to the dispenser, where it interacts with and dispense a solid chemical product concentrate, thus raising the concentration of the chemical product in the use solution. In a dishmachine application, the existing fluid may include post wash or rinse fluid from the dishmachine, or may include use solution from a sump, tank, or other use solution storage container.
