A capsule is configured for use with a base unit having a fan and an air opening for an airflow of air driven by the fan. The capsule includes a housing with a port. The housing engages and disengages the base unit. The capsule also includes a volatile substance member and a seal member that is supported by the housing for movement between a sealed position and an unsealed position. The seal member seals the port when the capsule is disengaged from the base unit. The projection is received in the capsule when engaged with the base unit to support the seal member in the unsealed position such that air moved by the fan flows through the port.

A vehicle fragrance dispenser includes: a fragrance generation section configured to perfume air within a vehicle using one of a plurality of different perfumes; a transceiver section configured to communicate with a mobile data terminal of an occupant; and a controller configured to associate and register any one out of the plurality of perfumes with individual identification information of the mobile data terminal of the occupant, and, in a case in which the transceiver section has received individual identification information of the mobile data terminal of the occupant, the controller controls the fragrance generation section to perfume the air within the vehicle using a perfume associated with the received individual identification information.

A fragrance filter assembly for releasing a fragrance into an HVAC system includes a filter unit that may positioned in an intake of an HVAC system. The filter unit inhibits particles from passing through the intake. A plurality of strips each of the strips is coupled to the filter unit. Each of the strips is infused with a fragrance wherein each of the strips is configured to release the fragrance into the intake when the HVAC system is turned on thereby enhancing a smell of air urged by the HVAC system.
