METHOD OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
Disclosed is a method of environmental control, comprising: passing a first air stream and a second air stream through a valve; wherein the valve directs the first air stream through a first adsorption bed and directs the second air stream through a second adsorption bed; wherein the first adsorption bed produces a dehumidified air stream, and wherein the second adsorption bed is purged of moisture by the second air stream, thus producing a purge stream; and using the valve to redirect the first air stream and the second air stream when the first adsorption bed reaches a moisture saturation point or a timed interval, wherein the first air stream passes through the second adsorption bed and the second air stream passes through the first adsorption bed.

A humidifier system for a vehicle passenger cabin includes an onboard humidifier, an onboard reservoir in fluid communication with the humidifier and adapted to collect a fluid from a vehicle heat exchanger, and a controller configured to determine at least a passenger cabin relative humidity value and a dew point value for at least one vehicle window. The controller is configured to actuate the onboard humidifier to provide a humidified airflow into the passenger cabin, and to actuate a window heating system to heat the at least one vehicle window sufficiently to prevent or remove fogging resulting from the humidified airflow. Methods for controlling the humidifier system are described.
Vehicle humidifier system
A humidifier system for a vehicle passenger cabin includes an onboard humidifier, an onboard reservoir in fluid communication with the humidifier and adapted to collect a fluid from a vehicle heat exchanger, and a controller configured to determine at least a passenger cabin relative humidity value and a dew point value for at least one vehicle window. The controller is configured to actuate the onboard humidifier to provide a humidified airflow into the passenger cabin, and to actuate a window heating system to heat the at least one vehicle window sufficiently to prevent or remove fogging resulting from the humidified airflow. Methods for controlling the humidifier system are described.
Vehicle Humidification Assembly
A vehicle humidification assembly for humidifying a cabin of a vehicle includes a vehicle has a cabin and an air conditioning system. A humidification unit is positioned in the vehicle and the humidification unit vaporizes a fluid when the humidification unit is turned on. The humidification unit is in fluid communication with the air conditioning system in the vehicle for humidifying an interior of the cabin. In this way the humidification unit can enhance comfort for a driver of the vehicle. A control is positioned within the cabin such that the control is accessible to the driver. The control is in communication with the humidification unit for turning the humidification unit on and off.
VEHICULAR HEATER
A vehicular heater includes a heat medium circuit connected to a heater core that heats vent air via heat exchange with a heat medium. The heat medium circuit includes a first flow path connected to the heater core through a power unit, and a second flow path arranged in parallel with the first flow path and connected to the heater core through a heat source different from the power unit. A controller adjusts a first flow rate of the heat medium in the first flow path to be larger than a second flow rate of the heat medium in the second flow path when the power unit is operating.

An adsorption system for the production of demineralized water aboard a motor vehicle comprising: a condenser, an evaporator, a first and a second adsorbent bed, each containing adsorbent material. Each adsorbent bed is selectively connectable to the condenser and/or the evaporator by pipes provided with at least one control valve. Each adsorbent bed is selectively and alternately connectable to a supply circuit of a heating source and to a supply circuit of a cooling source via supply valves. The condenser is directly and selectively connectable to the evaporator by a direct branch provided with a relative throttle valve, An inlet valve is arranged along an air inlet branch, and selectively establishes a fluid connection between the air of the environment outside the system and the adsorbent beds, so as to capture water from the external air through an adsorption phenomenon performed by the adsorbent beds and to produce water.
