The active layer includes a matrix and an active substance, and the concentration of the active substance varies over the area of the functional element.
ANTIREFLECTIVE SWITCHABLE GLASS CONSTRUCTION
An antireflective switchable laminated glass construction having a switchable functional film formed of a switchable material layer, a first polymer substrate with a first transparent conductive coating, and a second polymer substrate with a second transparent conductive coating. The switchable functional film is sandwiched between first adhesive polymer interlayer and glass substrate and second adhesive polymer interlayer and glass substrate. The switchable laminated glass construction in an ON (transparent) state has a total light transmittance higher than 50% and a reflectance equal to or less than 13%, as measured from at least one side of the switchable laminated glass construction.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE
A head-up display device that is to be mounted in a moving vehicle and enables an occupant in the moving vehicle to view a virtual image based on a reflected image of projection light in a projection section. The projection section includes an interlayer film, a first glass plate disposed closer to an outside of the moving vehicle, and a second glass plate disposed closer to an inside of the moving vehicle, the first glass plate and the second glass plate disposed opposite each other with the interlayer film therebetween. The first glass plate and the second glass plate each have a tin surface on which tin is detected and a non-tin surface whose tin concentration is lower than the tin concentration on the tin surface.
SWITCHABLE LAMINATED GLAZING WITH IMPROVED BUS BAR
A switchable laminated glazing with improved bus bar that solves the problem of inhomogeneities and reduce the cost of its fabrication by providing a laminated glazing that comprise a switchable layer (14) that has an active material sandwiched between two conductive coated plastic layers (8), at least two bus bars (20) in electrical contact with the respective conductive coated plastic layer (8), and at least two pliable conductive media (12), each of them between the respective coated plastic layer (8) and bus bar (20). The area covered by pliable conductive medias (12) is substantially less than the area covered by bus bars (20). The invention provides an improved lower cost bus bar by sparing use of a pliable conductive media and by using a pliable conductive media in different kind of configurations.
Systems and methods for damage detection
A system for detecting damage to a glass surface particularly vehicle glazing panels such as vehicle windscreens. The system uses a sensor unit disposed proximate the surface and a processor in communication with the sensor unit. The processor is configured to analyse data received from the sensor unit in order to determine the integrity of the surface and a communication unit is configured to output a signal in response to the processor determining that the surface has been damaged. For vehicle glass the system is preferably integrated into the vehicle management and control systems such that the system is active when the vehicle is active or moving. The management and or control system may monitor for instances or situations when changes, such as above threshold changes, occur in order to produce an output warning signal.
BONDING FILM, AND LIGHT-TRANSMITTING LAMINATE INCLUDING SAME
Embodiment relates to film for bonding, and a light-transmitting laminate including the same and the like, a film for bonding comprising an embossed surface, wherein the embossed surface has an A2/A1 value of 1 or less are disclosed. A film for bonding have improved in deairing stability during formation of a light transmitting laminate, an edge sealing characteristic, and the like by controlling characteristics of a embossed surface.
Neutral color antireflective glass substrate and method for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing neutral color antireflective glass substrates by ion implantation, the method including ionizing a N.sub.2 source gas so as to form a mixture of single charge and multicharge ions of N, forming a beam of single charge and multicharge ions of N by accelerating with an acceleration voltage A between 20 kV and 25 kV and setting the ion dosage at a value between 6×10.sup.16 ions/cm.sup.2 and −5.00×10.sup.15×A/kV+2.00×10.sup.17 ions/cm.sup.2. A neutral color antireflective glass substrates including an area treated by ion implantation with a mixture of simple charge and multicharge ions according to the method.

A composite pane includes a first pane and a second pane joined to one another via at least one thermoplastic intermediate layer and a functional inlay element arranged between the first pane and the second pane. The functional inlay element includes a carrier layer and at least one electrically conductive element.
LAMINATED GLASS AND VEHICLE SYSTEM
The laminated glass of the present invention has a T/R rate (A) of larger than 1, the T/R rate (A) being calculated from the following formula (1):
T/R rate (A)=log 10(TA/100)/log 10(RA/100) (1)
wherein an average transmittance at a wavelength of 900 to 1300 nm through one face is represented by TA, and a maximum reflectance at a wavelength of 900 to 1300 nm at an incident angle of 60° on the other face is represented by RA.
