Ware washing machine with heat pump and modulating valve
A conveyor type ware washing machine uses a heat pump to reduce exhaust heat and to heat incoming water. A modulating valve is used to control incoming water flow through a heat exchanger of the heat pump. Processing circuitry automatically dynamically adjusts the modulating valve between a plurality of open states based on the sensed refrigerant head pressure of the heat pump, so that the refrigerant head pressure is maintained in a predefined range. The ware washing machine is efficient, and reduces the amount of heat exhausted to ambient. Related methods are also disclosed.
DISH DRYING SYSTEM WITH ADSORBENT MATERIAL REGENERATION
A dishwasher includes a housing having walls defining a tub having an outlet and inlet for humid air to flow out from and into the tub, respectively. A drying system contacts at least one wall of the tub. The drying system includes an inlet conduit fluidly connected to the outlet and an outlet conduit fluidly connected to the inlet with the inlet conduit and the outlet conduit forming an inverted V-shaped air circuit defining an airflow path therethrough. The drying system also includes at least one adsorbent component having an adsorbent material positioned along the airflow path, and at least one gate check valve blocking airflow from the tub to the adsorbent material during a wash cycle. The adsorbent material is regenerated via heat transfer through the at least one wall from the tub during a wash cycle when the gate check valve is closed.
DISH WASHER
A distribution cap is configured to couple to a nozzle of a dish washer and to guide air from the nozzle to be discharged in a discharge direction. The distribution cap includes a fitting pipe configured to couple to the nozzle, a first bypass pipe that is connected to the fitting pipe and extends in a direction different from the discharge direction, where the first bypass pipe is configured to be positioned above the nozzle based on the fitting pipe being coupled to the nozzle, and a second bypass pipe that extends from an end portion of the first bypass pipe in the discharge direction, where the second bypass pipe defines a discharge opening at an end portion thereof.
DISHWASHER
A dishwasher is disclosed. When the dishwasher performs a drying process, the dishwasher increases a temperature of a washing space before air inside the washing space is discharged, thereby maintaining the temperature of the washing space at an appropriate drying temperature and increasing efficiency of the drying process.
Drying system with heat pipe and thermoelectric assembly
A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber. The tub includes an inlet and an outlet. The dishwashing appliance also includes a drying system in fluid communication with the wash chamber. The drying system includes a heat pipe heat exchanger having a condenser section and an evaporator section. The evaporator section is downstream of the outlet. The condenser section is downstream of the evaporator section and upstream of the inlet. A thermoelectric assembly is in thermal communication with the heat pipe heat exchanger.
Warewash machine energy conservation incorporating vent controls
A warewash machine includes a housing defining a ware inlet, a ware outlet and an internal chamber including a plurality of sequential spray zones including at least one wash zone and a rinse zone downstream of the wash zone in a ware conveyance direction. A vent path leads from the chamber leading to a vent outlet for connecting to a building ventilation system. A damper is provided for controlling a flow area at a location along the vent path. A controller is connected to control a position of the damper, the controller configured to adjust a position of the damper based upon input from at least a first temperature sensor, wherein the first temperature sensor is located at one of (i) the ware inlet, (ii) the ware outlet or (iii) along the vent path. Methods of operating a warewash machine are also provided.
Dish drying system with adsorbent material regeneration
A dishwasher includes a housing having walls defining a tub having an outlet for humid air to flow out from the tub, an inlet for dry air to flow into the tub, and a door for closing the tub to an exterior environment, and a drying system contacting at least one wall of the tub.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCE HAVING AN AIR-DRYING DEHUMIDIFICATION ASSEMBLY
A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a pump, a spray assembly, a fluid recirculation duct, a cold water line, and a fan or a variable-flow restrictor. The tub may define a wash chamber. The pump may be configured to deliver a wash fluid to the wash chamber. The fluid recirculation duct may extend from a path inlet to a path outlet to recirculate air within the wash chamber. The path inlet may be defined in fluid communication between the wash chamber and the path outlet. The path outlet may be defined in fluid communication between the path inlet and the wash chamber downstream from the path inlet. The cold water line may define a cold water nozzle disposed within the fluid recirculation duct to provide a condensing, coldwater flow into the fluid recirculation duct between the path inlet and the path outlet.
