Embodiments of a laminate including a first curved glass substrate comprising a first viscosity (poises) at a temperature of 630? C.; a second curved glass substrate comprising a second viscosity that is greater than the first viscosity at a temperature of 630? C.; and an interlayer disposed between the first curved glass substrate and the second curved glass substrate, are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the first curved glass substrate exhibits a first sag depth that is within 10% of a second sag depth of the second curved glass substrate. In one or more embodiments, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate exhibit a shape deviation therebetween of about ?5 mm or less as measured by an optical three-dimensional scanner or exhibit minimal optical distortion. Embodiments of vehicles including such laminates and methods for making such laminates are also disclosed.

Golf cart windshield

The present invention discloses a golf cart windshield including an upper panel having a bend, a lower panel having a bend, and a connecting bar. The connecting bar includes two grooves in which the bends of the upper and lower panels can be clamped respectively. In the present invention, by inserting the bend of the upper panel into one of the grooves of the connecting bar and inserting the bend of the lower panel into the other one of the grooves of the connecting bar, the upper and lower panels are connected by the connecting bar. The installation is convenient, the fixing is stable, and there is no need for glues or screws. In addition, the golf cart windshield does not easily fall off even under strong vibrations.

A vehicle rear portion structure that comprises: a first glass that is provided at a vehicle rear portion, and at which is formed a sunken portion that is sunken-in further toward a substantially vehicle lower side than portions adjacent thereto in a vehicle transverse direction; a connecting portion that is provided between the first glass and a second glass, and that leads drainage water, which flows from the sunken portion, to the second glass; and an additional member having a guide portion that extends toward a vehicle rear side from an upper portion of the second glass, and that guides the drainage water from the connecting portion to a position that is away, toward a vehicle rear side, from a vehicle rear side surface of the second glass.

SLIDING VEHICLE WINDOW HAVING MINIMAL PERIMETER SEAL

A vehicle includes a window having an internal opening defined by an angled edge forming a clear space generally shaped as a truncated pyramid. An operable window panel is slidable relative to the internal opening to define open and closed positions. A compressible elastic sealing member is disposed along the angled edge, wherein the sealing member defines a substantially convex profile when the operable window panel in the open position. A guide assembly is positioned adjacent an interior surface of the window and adapted to guide the operable window panel between the open and closed positions. The closed position is defined by an outer surface of the operable window panel being co-planar with an exterior surface of the window. The closed position is further characterized by the sealing member being deformed to occupy at least the seam defined between the window and the operable window panel.

Head-up display includes: display element for displaying an image, and a projection optical system for projecting the image, which is displayed on display element, onto viewing region of viewer. The projection optical system includes combiner that is disposed at a position in an optical path from display element to viewing region of viewer. Combiner has a surface at which light incident from display element enters; the surface has a curved surface shape. Combiner has an effective region corresponding to viewing region of viewer. In the effective region, combiner has a horizontal cross-sectional shape that changes in thickness along from the center toward an end.

WINDSHIELD WRAPPED VEHICLE PILLAR

A vehicle includes a driver side pillar extending between a door and a roof. The pillar forms a face having an outer edge adjacent the driver side door and an inner edge. Similarly, a passenger side pillar extends between a door and the roof and forms a face having an outer edge adjacent the door and inner edge. A windshield supported by a cowl and the roof has a driver side edge that extends beyond the inner edge of the driver side face and substantially covers the driver side pillar and a passenger side edge that extends beyond the inner edge of the passenger side face and substantially covers the passenger side pillar. The vehicle further includes a frit bonded around a periphery of the windshield. The frit substantially covers and is bonded to the driver and passenger side pillars making them appear to be a dark or black color.
