The glazing unit is fastened in the zone not covered by the thin sheet, and the glazing unit includes at least one electrically heatable zone comprising (i) a substantially transparent, electrically conductive coating layer and (ii) spaced busbars adapted to supply electrical voltage across the substantially transparent, electrically conductive coating layer. The spaced busbars are placed in the portion of the exterior sheet which is not covered by the thin interior sheet.

Panel and open roof construction provided therewith

A panel for use in an open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a substantially rectangular panel main body made of transparent material, and at least one elongated reinforcing bracket positioned at least partly in the vicinity of an edge of said panel main body and firmly connected thereto. The panel bracket is made of a material which is thinner than that of the material of the panel main body and includes a structure to fix the reinforcing bracket to an operating mechanism configured to support the panel and control movements thereof. The edge of the panel main body comprises at least an inward recess and the reinforcing bracket comprises at least an upward step into the recess. The upward step extends along at least a portion of the recess and is dimensioned to accommodate a part of the operating mechanism under it.

Embodiments of a laminate including a first curved glass substrate comprising a first viscosity (poises) at a temperature of 630° C.; a second curved glass substrate comprising a second viscosity that is greater than the first viscosity at a temperature of 630° C.; and an interlayer disposed between the first curved glass substrate and the second curved glass substrate, are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the first curved glass substrate exhibits a first sag depth that is within 10% of a second sag depth of the second curved glass substrate. In one or more embodiments, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate exhibit a shape deviation therebetween of about ±5 mm or less as measured by an optical three-dimensional scanner or exhibit minimal optical distortion. Embodiments of vehicles including such laminates and methods for making such laminates are also disclosed.

Mobile accommodation and border device

A mobile accommodation, particularly a recreational accommodation such as a boat, camper or caravan, comprises a room enclosed by walls (10), wherein at least one of the walls comprises an opening (15) in which an optionally transparent window is arranged. Arranged on a first side all around the opening (15) is a casing frame (30) in which the window is mounted. A border device (20) is provided all around the opening on an opposite side. The casing frame (30) and the border device (20) are connected to each other for axial adjustment transversely of the wall (10) while enclosing a wall part of the wall. The border device (20) comprises a relatively stiff frame body (21) which carries on a side facing toward the wall a flexible skirt (25) and lies sealingly against the wall therewith.

Side structure for a passenger vehicle with a lowerable side window, and passenger vehicle

A side structure for a passenger vehicle has a side element, which at least partially delimits a lateral window opening, and a transparent side window, which is movable relative to the side element between a closed position closing at least a partial region of the window opening and at least one open position opening up the partial region of the window opening. The side structure has a strut which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and on which the side window is held via a hinge device so as to be movable relative to the side element and relative to the strut in such a manner that the side window is movable outwards in the transverse direction of the vehicle and downwards in the vertical direction of the vehicle from the closed position into the open position.

Motor vehicle side window arrangement

A motor vehicle side window arrangement has a side window pane, which has a left edge, a right edge, a top edge connecting the left and right edges in the top region thereof and a bottom edge connecting the left and right edges in the bottom region thereof, which bottom edge is operatively connected to a window lever, and a seal. In the closed state of the side window pane, the seal has a left section adjacent to the left edge, a right section adjacent to the right edge, a top section adjacent to the top edge and a seal base. An improved sealing effect is obtained by the right edge adjacent to the right section of the seal having, in the top region thereof, a smaller distance from the seal base than in the bottom region thereof.

MULTI-PART GLAZING

A multi-part glazing according to this disclosure comprises a first glass piece (110) having an outer major surface, a second glass piece (120) having an outer major surface, and an attachment piece (140) provided between the first glass piece and the second glass piece to connect the first glass piece and the second glass piece. The outer major surface of the first glass piece is arranged in a continuous surface with the outer major surface of the second glass piece by a prescribed angle via an outer surface of the attachment piece.

Sliding laminated glazing unit with interior projection

An automotive glazing unit includes a glazing and a system for allowing the glazing to be moved translationally with respect to a door of the vehicle. The glazing is curved and laminated and includes an exterior and an interior glass sheet and a plastic sheet located between the exterior and interior glass sheets. Each sheet has a peripheral edge face. The interior glass sheet is a glass sheet that has undergone a chemical tempering operation and has a thickness included between 0.40 and 2.10 mm and the edge face of the interior glass sheet is located beyond the edge face of the plastic sheet and beyond the edge face of the exterior glass sheet over at least one portion of the length of the edge face of the interior glass sheet.

Reinforced vehicle window

A window assembly for a vehicle includes a laminated panel and a reinforcement structure. The laminated panel includes a glass layer and a polymer layer that is laminated with the glass layer. The reinforcement structure extends along and is coupled to an upper perimeter of the polymer layer. When the polymer layer is in tension, the reinforcement structure hinders inward movement of the polymer layer relative to an upper edge of the window assembly. The window assembly is a retractable side window assembly.
