DRIVE DEVICE FOR SHADE
A drive device for a shade arrangement for vehicles, in particular for a rear window or side window roller blind including a slider that is supported along a movement path and that supports a rod which rod facilitates moving the shade arrangement into a pulled out position or a pulled in position; a rope at which the slider is attached and which is run over an upper deflection arrangement proximal to the pulled out position and a lower deflection arrangement remote from the pulled out position; a drive roller at which the rope is at least attached by friction locking; and a drive motor which rotates the drive roller and moves the slider by the rope between the pulled out position and the pulled in position, wherein the lower deflection arrangement and the upper deflection arrangement are configured without a drive, and wherein the drive motor with the associated drive roller is arranged between the upper deflection arrangement and the lower deflection arrangement.
INTERLAYERS COMPRISING OPTICAL FILMS HAVING ENHANCED OPTICAL PROPERTIES
An interlayer comprising a first polymer layer, a polarization rotary optical film and optionally a second polymer layer, and multiple layer panels formed from such interlayers. The panels may exhibit desirable optical properties, including, for example, less image “ghosting,” when used as part of a heads-up-display (HUD) display panel for use in automotive and aircraft applications.

PROTECTION DEVICE FOR THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF A VEHICLE
A protection device for a vehicle interior compartment including a flexible planar structure displaceable between a pulled-out protective position and a rest position. The planar structure is connected to a dimensionally stable pull-out profile, which profile is mounted for longitudinal displacement on each of its opposite sides in a respective guiding structure fixed to the vehicle. A respective cable pull is installed in each guiding structure, each cable pull engaging on a respective one of sliding bodies slidingly mounted in the guiding structure. The sliding body is connected to the pull-out profile such that a torque introduced into the pull-out profile by the cable pull on the sliding body and a counter-torque introduced into the pull-out profile by the planar structure are configured, relative to a longitudinal axis of the pull-out profile extending transversely to the pull-out direction, such that the sliding bodies and the pull-out profile are held in equilibrium during a displacement move.
SOLAR CELL SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH WINDOW GLASS AND BLIND
A solar cell system integrated with window glass and a blind is provided. The solar cell system includes high-power solar cell system that has two types of solar cells that are configured to absorb light with different wavelength bands from each other and are coupled to a window glass and a blind, respectively. The solar cell system includes a first solar cell that is coupled to a window glass and a second solar cell that is coupled to a blind and configured to absorb light different in wavelength band from light absorbed by the first solar cell. The band gap energy of the first solar cell is greater than the band gap energy of the second solar cell to maximize generation of electrical energy. Additionally, the second solar cell is coupled to the blind installed to open and close to increase power without degrading transmittance of the window glass.
Automatic Window Shade Assembly
An automatic window shade assembly includes a plurality of shade units that is each integrated into a vehicle and is aligned with a respective one of a plurality of windows in the vehicle. Each of the shade units inhibits sunlight from passing into the vehicle when the shade units are deployed. Each of the shade units exposes the windows when the shade units are stored. Additionally, each of the shade units is in wireless communication with a personal electronic device to remotely control each of the shade units. A heating unit is integrated into a respective shade unit to defrost a windshield in the vehicle. A control is integrated into the vehicle for controlling operational parameters of the heating unit and each of the shade units.
Device and system for providing a wind curtain for preventing bugs from contacting a viewing surface
The present invention is directed to a device and system designed to prevent organisms, such as bugs, from contacting a viewing surface, such as a windshield or window associated with a moving vehicle. The device contains at least a first side wall having an air intake member constructed to receive and capture air flow generated by movement of the motor vehicle. A second wall contains air distribution members and is oriented in a different direction as that of the first wall. Because the device is designed to have side walls oriented at different directions, air exiting the device travels in a different path than the path of entry. In this manner, air flow can be directed to travel across a viewing surface, thereby providing a curtain of air thereupon.
PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR AND REAR SHELF FOR AN INTERIOR OF A PASSENGER CAR
Protective device for a vehicle interior compartment and rear shelf for a passenger vehicle including a flexible planar structure which is held on a roller blind shaft to be wound up and off between a pulled-out protective position and a compactly stored rest position. The planar structure is connected to a pull-out profile, which pull-out profile is guided on each of its opposite sides in a respective guiding structure for longitudinal displacement between the rest position and the protective position of the planar structure. A drive device is provided for displacement of the pull-out profile, which includes an electric motor and drive transmission extending alongside the guiding structures and operatively connected to the pull-out profile. The roller blind shaft is rotatably mounted, without a winding spring, on opposite face ends in two casing arrangements. The drive transmission includes a cable pull, and a casing arrangement on the drive side is provided with a holder device for the electric motor coupled to both the roller blind shaft and the cable pull via a torque transmission arrangement associated with the casing arrangement on the drive side.
