Systems and methods for controlling one or more operations of a dishwashing appliance are provided. In particular, a supply voltage applied to a heating element of the dishwashing appliance can be determined. The supply voltage can be compared with an acceptable operating range of supply voltages to determine whether the supply voltage is within the acceptable operating range and, if the supply voltage is not within the acceptable operating range, one or more operations of the dishwashing appliance can be controlled based at least in part on the determined supply voltage. For instance, an amount of time during which the heating element is active during one or more operational cycles can be adjusted to compensate for the determined supply voltage.

Control method of dishwasher

A method controls a dishwasher including a tub configured to receive objects to be washed, a drying device configured to receive wet air from the tub and to discharge the wet air to an outside of the dishwasher, and a dry air supplier including a heating part and being configured to supply heated air to the tub. The method includes preheating the drying device by introducing dry air from the outside to the drying device before a first preset time from a start point of a drying operation, performing the drying operation at the start point, wherein the wet air is discharged from the tub during the drying operation, and cooling the dry air supplier by stopping operation of the heating part before a second preset time from an end time point of the drying operation.

DISHWASHER, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF DISHWASHER, AND MEMORY STORING PROGRAM THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a dishwasher, a method for controlling the operation of the dishwasher, and a program therefor. To this end, a dishwasher according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a tub having a washing space therein and open on the front; a door which opens and closes the open front of the tub; a drying air supply unit including a blowing motor, a blowing fan, a heater, and a temperature sensor; and a processor controlling the operation of the dishwasher. The processor can control the ON/OFF of the heater so that the temperature of the heater is maintained within a first threshold range when the time during which the dishwasher enters and operates in a door open drying process is less than a predetermined time. Accordingly, the present invention can efficiently dry dishes by controlling the operation of the heater so that the temperature of the heater is maintained within a certain range.

Glass washing apparatus and related methods clean a glass and suppress formation of water spots. A glass washing apparatus includes a housing, an access door, a glass holder, a first side wash nozzle, a second side wash nozzle, a third side wash nozzle, an interior wash nozzle, a drying air outlet, a clean water tank, a dirty water tank, a wash water pump, a heater/blower unit, a control panel, and a control unit. The control unit receives a start signal from the control panel, controls transmission of power to the wash water heater, controls transmission of power to the wash water pump to supply heated clean water to the first side wash nozzle, the second side wash nozzle, the third side wash nozzle, and the interior wash nozzle; and controls transmission of power to the heater/blower unit to supply a flow of heated air to dry the glass.

System having discrete zone energy transmission utilizing heating element array and object occupancy and location sensing

A discrete zone energy transmission system is provided. The system includes an object treatment area, an array of energy transmission elements configured to direct energy toward predetermined zones in the treatment area, a sensor configured to detect a presence and a location of an object in the treatment area, and a controller in communication with the array of energy transmission elements and the sensor. The controller is configured to receive presence and location data from the sensor, assign the data to the predetermined zones, and control an operation of the array of energy transmission elements to selectively radiate energy from the array of energy transmission elements only toward a select number of zones in the object treatment area based on the presence and location data, thereby selectively radiating the energy from the array of energy transmission elements only toward the object in the treatment area.

DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A dishwasher may include: a user interface device; communication circuitry; and a controller configured to: receive, through the communication circuitry, external humidity information detected by an appliance in an environment of the appliance, based on the received external humidity information and a washing course of the dishwasher that is input via the user interface device, change setting information related to an operation of at least one of a rinsing process of the washing course or a drying process of the washing course, and based on the changed setting information, control the operation of the at least one of the rinsing process of the washing course or the drying process of the washing course.
