VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND VEHICLE CONTROL PROGRAM
A vehicle control system comprises an automated driving controler for executing any of a plurality of driving modes which include an automated driving mode for automatically performing at least one of speed control and steering control of a vehicle and a manual driving mode for performing both of the speed control and the steering control based on operation of an occupant of the vehicle, and a visual field condition controller for controlling a front visual field condition of the vehicle based on the driving mode executed by the automated driving controller so as to be either a visible condition or a visual difficulty condition.
Display and light blocking screens
A light blocking screen includes a liquid crystal array mounted to a window. The liquid crystal array has a plurality of liquid crystal (LC) pixels, each of which is selectively darkenable. A controller is operatively connected to the liquid crystal array and configured to darken a set of the LC pixels, such that the darkened set of LC pixels limits light passage through the window in one or more selected areas. The LC pixels need not limit light passage through the entire window. The controller may determine a location of a glare source relative to the window and a location of a user proximate the window, and then darken the set of the LC pixels in an area between the glare source and the user, such that the glare source is limited from shining onto the user. The screen may be incorporated into vehicles or buildings.

APPARATUS TO MAINTAIN A CONTINUOUSLY GRADED TRANSMISSION STATE
An apparatus can include an electrochromic device. When using the apparatus, the electrochromic device can be switched from a first transmission state to a continuously graded state and maintained at continuously graded transmission state. An apparatus can include an active stack with a first transparent conductive layer, a second transparent conductive layer, an anodic electrochemical layer between the first and the second transparent conductive layers, and a cathodic electrochemical layer between the first and the second transparent conductive layers. The apparatus can further include a first bus bar electrically coupled to the first transparent conductive layer, a second bus bar electrically coupled to the second transparent conductive layer, where the second bus bar is generally non-parallel to the first bus bar, and a third bus bar electrically coupled to the first transparent conductive layer, where the third bus bar is generally parallel to the first bus bar.
GLAZING COMPRISING A SWITCHABLE DEVICE, LAMINATED STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OF A GLAZING
A glazing (10) comprising a switchable optical device (26) is proposed. The switchable optical device (26) has a layer structure comprising in this order a first substrate (12), a switchable layer (18) and a second substrate (24).
Further, at least one of the first substrate (12) and the second substrate (24) is attached to a further sheet (30) by means of an adhesive tape (40) or an optically clear adhesive (48).
Further aspects of the invention relate to a laminated structure and an insulated glazing unit comprising such a glazing (10) and a method for manufacturing of such a glazing (10).
