Operation input device and door handle

An operation input device includes a resistance element to generate a capacitance between an operating medium and the resistance element in response to an approach of the operating medium to the resistance element, and a power source to supply electric charge to one end and the other end of the resistance element. A first electric unit measures a first electric charge transfer amount supplied to the one end of the resistance element in response to generation of the capacitance. A second unit measures a second electric charge transfer amount supplied to the other end of the resistance element in response to generation of the capacitance. A controller is connected to the first and second units, and detects a position of the operating medium in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the resistance element based on a sum of the first and second electric charge transfer amounts.

A handle device includes a handle case disposed on a member on a vehicle body side, a cylindrical in supported by the handle case, and an operation member housed in the handle case and pivotally supported by the pin so as to be rotatable. The handle case includes a pin insertion hole into which the pin is configured to be inserted from an outer side of the handle case, and a rib which is provided to face a head portion of the pin inserted into the pin insertion hole and prevents the pin from slipping off. The rib extends from the handle case along as in-plane direction of a case region around the pin insertion hole, and includes an elastic piece elastically deformed in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction of the pin.

Glass run

A glass run includes at least one of: an exterior sub-lip formed so as to project obliquely from an interior side of the exterior side wall that is closer to the bottom wall than a base portion of the exterior seal lip; an interior sub-lip formed so as to project obliquely in a direction toward a base portion of the interior seal lip from an exterior side of the interior side wall that is closer to the bottom wall than the base portion of the interior seal lip, the interior sub-lip formed with a thick portion on a base portion on a side of the interior seal lip; a thick portion formed on a base portion of the exterior seal lip; or a thick portion formed on a side of the interior seal lip that is not in contact with the door glass.

Shock absorber

Stability of shock absorbing property of a shock absorber provided on a back surface of a door trim is improved. A shock absorber is attached on the back surface of the door trim, and absorbs impact applied to the door. A quadrangular tube element of the shock absorber has an end plate on a tube tip surface, and faces the back surface of the door trim. The quadrangular tube element has an approximate U shape in which three side surfaces are closed by an upper plate, a lower plate, and a front plate, and the remaining one side surface is opened.

Vehicle latch mechanism

A vehicle latch mechanism includes a latch body having a striker receiving zone including a first surface and an opposing second surface. A first guide member extends along and is spaced from the first surface. The first guide member includes a first end, a second, cantilevered end, and an intermediate portion. A second guide member extends along and is spaced from the second surface. The second guide member includes a first end portion, a second cantilevered end portion, and an intermediate section. The second end and the second cantilevered end extend into the striker receiving zone.

Vehicle having reinforcement patch

A vehicle includes a vehicle body and a reinforcing patch. The vehicle body component defines a cavity. The reinforcing patch is disposed within and attached to the vehicle body component. The reinforcing patch includes a substrate and a reinforcing body attached to the substrate. The reinforcing body has a first tab, a second tab, and a first slit between the first and second tabs. The slit is at least partially filled by the substrate.

Vehicle

A vehicle may include: a body including an opening; a door constituted of metal, the door being configured to open and close the opening; a rail garnish constituted of resin, the rail garnish being disposed along an edge of the opening; and a seal member disposed along an edge of the door and configured to seal a gap between the door and the body when the door closes the opening. The rail garnish may include a fixed portion, a contact portion, and a first bend and a second bend disposed between the fixed portion and the contact portion. The first bend and the second bend each may extend along the contact portion in a longitudinal direction of the rail garnish and are bent in different directions. A thickness of the rail garnish may be locally small at one or both of the first bend and the second bend.
