VEHICLE DOOR AND WINDOW ARRANGEMENT

A door includes an inner wall, an outer wall, and a window assembly including a window. The inner wall is configured to engage with a cab of a vehicle. The outer wall is coupled to the inner wall and spaced apart from the inner wall to form an interior cavity. The door is configured to move between a closed position in which the inner wall is engaged with the cab and an open position in which the inner wall is separated from the cab. In the closed position, at least a portion of the interior cavity is configured to be disposed outboard from the cab in a lateral direction. The window is slidably engaged to the door and configured to move between an extended position and a retracted position. In the retracted position, the window is at least partially disposed in the portion of the interior cavity.

VEHICLE DOOR SYSTEM

A vehicle door system includes at least one sliding door which is arranged on the side and can be displaced out from the B-pillar. A securing system is provided for latching the sliding door on the B-pillar in the case of an external impact against the B-pillar occurring obliquely from the front. The securing system can block the at least one sliding door from opening in response to the external impact. The securing system includes a catchment claw that engages a securing hook to hold the at least one sliding door to the B-pillar.

LOCKING MECHANISM FOR SLIDABLE VEHICLE DOORS

An assembly for a vehicle includes a first door and a second door moveable from an open position to a closed position. The assembly includes a first locking member supported by the first door moveable along a first axis to a raised position and to a lowered position. The assembly includes a second locking member supported by the second door movable along a second axis transverse to the first axis. The first locking member is lockingly engaged with the second locking member when the second locking member is in the extended position and the first locking member is in one of the lowered position or the raised position. The first locking member is disengaged with the second locking member when the second locking member is in the retracted position and the first locking member is in the other of the lowered position or the raised position.
