VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE WITH STORING-TYPE ROOF
There are provided a pillar attached to a vehicle-body side separately from a roof, a pillar-side weather strip provided at the pillar, a vehicle-body-side weather strip provided at a vehicle-body side of a lower portion of the pillar, and an engagement portion provided at a lower end portion of the pillar-side weather strip, the engagement portion being configured to engage from an inward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the vehicle-body-side weather strip. The vehicle-body-side weather strip comprises a guide portion which guides the engagement portion of the pillar-side weather strip inward and downward, an engaged portion positioned at a lower portion of the guide portion, and a wall portion which contacts a hanging piece provided at the lower end portion of the pillar-side weather strip from an outward side in the vehicle width direction.
SEAL STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE WITH STORING-TYPE ROOF
There are provided a front weather strip provided between a first roof member and a second roof member, a rear weather strip provided between the second roof member and a third roof member, a roof-side weather strip provided at the second roof member, and a vertical weather strip. Plural partition walls which form the plural vertical flow passages are provided at the vertical weather strip, and a first flow passage for distributing water from the front weather strip to plural vertical flow passages of the vertical weather strip by way of the roof-side weather strip and a second flow passage for distributing water from the rear weather strip to at least one of plural vertical flow passages of the vertical weather strip are provided.
THERMOPLASTIC HARDTOP ROOF
The present invention is directed to a hardtop for a vehicle that has an exterior thermoplastic roof panel and sides. The hardtop includes a top frame formed of at least two longitudinal sides and at least one cross vehicle piece formed from fiber reinforced polymer. Connected to the top frame is at least one roof panel forming an outer surface of the hardtop. There are also one or more side frames each having a side panel connected thereto. The roof panel and side panel are all formed of thermoplastic, so it is possible to have a Class A finish paint surface or mold in color finish.
Drip mechanism of sunroof device
To allow receiving rain water by moving a drip member upward and downward in a substantially horizontal direction with a tilting motion of a roof panel, a drip mechanism has a drip member including a trough in an upper surface and covering the entire length of a lower side of a rear edge of a roof panel; left and right movable bodies disposed on guiderails in left and right side portions of a frame; a lifting unit connecting the drip member to the left and right movable bodies that allows the drip member to move upward and downward; and an interlocking member connecting the drip member with the roof panel. In the lifting unit, front and rear link members connect the drip member with the movable body and a member urging, in a rising direction, portions of these front and rear link members and on the drip member-connected side.
ROOF SYSTEM
A vehicle roof system comprises a stationary part configured to be attached to a fixed roof and guide rails extending in longitudinal direction substantially parallel to opposite sides of a roof opening. A semi-transparent panel closes the roof opening and has a drain channel for draining water seeping past at least one edge of the panel. A rollo assembly includes a rollo cloth having a first edge connected to a winding shaft, and a second opposite edge to which a beam is connected and opposite lateral edges guided in the guide rails. The cloth is wound onto the winding shaft and wound off to uncover or cover the panel at least partly from below. At least a part of the channel extends transversely within the path of the cloth and comprises a first sliding surface in contact with the cloth to guide it when it is wound up or off.
TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY WITH A FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A bed cap configured for attachment to a tailgate of a vehicle, the bed cap includes a channel configured to collect fluid and/or debris, the channel comprising a first opening for evacuating the fluid and/or debris from within the channel.
Tonneau cover systems and methods thereof
Novel techniques are provided for implementing a tonneau cover system. A tonneau cover system might include a first side rail configured to be coupled to a side wall of a bed of a truck, a first connection plate attached to and extending from the first side rail, a second connection plate, an extension plate extending from and attached to the second connection plate, and a cover for covering the bed of the truck and coupled to the extension plate. The first connection plate might include a recess on a bottom surface of the first connection plate. The second connection plate might include a first protrusion mirroring the first recess on the first connection plate. The first protrusion of the second connection plate might removably engage with the recess on the bottom surface of the first connection plate to couple the second connection plate to the first connection plate.
Tonneau cover assembly with a fluid management system
A bed cap configured for attachment to a top surface of a bed wall defining a cargo area of a vehicle, the bed cap assembly includes: a first channel extending at least partially along a length of the bed cap and configured to collect fluid and/or debris; a first opening for evacuating the fluid and/or debris from the first channel; a tonneau cover supporting surface extending at least partially along the length of the bed cap, wherein the tonneau cover supporting surface comprises a planar surface that is arranged inboard of the channel in vehicle position; and a seal provided between the tonneau cover supporting surface and a bottom surface of a tonneau cover that is supported by the tonneau cover supporting surface.
Roof assembly having a roof opening system and an air conditioner
A roof assembly for forming a vehicle roof on a motor vehicle, the roof assembly has a panel component which forms at least sections of a roof cladding of the vehicle roof, the roof cladding acting as an outer sealing surface, and a roof opening system having a lid part which is configured to selectively open or close a roof opening provided in the panel component, and at least one electric and/or electronic and/or electromagnetic component and an air conditioner, via which waste heat released by the electronic component and/or heat introduced from outside are able to be dissipated, wherein the roof opening system has at least one water gutter via which at least one cooling channel of the air conditioner is formed, the waste heat of the component and/or the heat introduced from outside being able to be dissipated from the roof assembly via cooling channel.
