A vehicle roof having a cover which is movably mounted on the vehicle roof by a bearing mechanism and is adjustable between a closed and a ventilation position in which at least the rear cover edge is raised, the cover being adjustable by the bearing mechanism in such a way that, in the closed position of the cover, the rear cover edge assumes a defined vertical position relative to a roof area portion which adjoins the roof opening or the cover in the region of the rear cover edge, wherein, according to the invention, the cover in its closed position rests on at least one supporting element which is held fixedly on the roof side in a position central with respect to the roof opening and below the rear cover edge and which supporting element holds the cover in its defined vertical position relative to the roof area portion.
SUNROOF DRIVE APPARATUS AND RELATED SUNROOF ASSEMBLIES FOR USE WITH VEHICLES
Sunroof drive apparatus and related sunroof assemblies for use with vehicles are disclosed. A disclosed assembly includes a sunroof panel, a rail, a guide block attached to part of the rail, a bracket beneath the sunroof panel, a link in the rail removably connected to the guide block, and a drive shoe in the rail slidably coupled to the link. The drive shoe includes first and second slots to receive respective first and second pins of the link. The link can rotate about a rotation axis from a first orientation in which the link is inseparable from the guide block to a target orientation in which the link is separable from the guide block. When the first pin enters a locking area at an end of the first slot, the drive shoe imparts one or more loads on the first pin that urge the link into the target orientation.
DRIVE APPARATUS FOR A MOVABLE ROOF PART OF A ROOF SYSTEM, AND THREADED HELIX CABLE FOR SUCH A DRIVE APPARATUS
A drive apparatus for a movable roof part of a roof system, and a threaded helix cable therefor. The drive apparatus has a threaded helix cable, which has a driver on the end, by which the threaded helix cable can be connected to a drive slide of a displacement mechanism in a force-transmitting manner. The driver has a bent sheet-metal part which interlockingly surrounds the threaded helix cable.

A switching device for actuating drive elements includes first switching elements situated on a housing surface to be actuatable by fingers of a person and a second switching element situated on a housing surface to be actuatable by a palm, a palm heel, or a thumb of the person. The first and second switching elements are formed by touch surface sensors without switching contacts. In one variation, actuation of one of the first switching elements causes actuation of a corresponding one of the drive elements only when the second switching element is actuated during the actuation of the one of the first switching elements. In another variation, simultaneous actuation of one of the first switching elements and the second switching element causes a drive element corresponding to the one of the first switching elements to be actuated according to a function corresponding to the second switching element.

The drive cable is guided in a channel in the stationary guide. The drive cable includes, connected at one end, a drive cable plate. The cable plate connects with the movable element, the cable plate being slidably engaged with at least one wall of the stationary guide, wherein the cable plate further includes at least one separate slide shoe slidably engaging the at least one wall of the stationary guide. The slide shoe is capable of biasing the drive cable plate with respect to the at least one wall of the stationary guide.

An open roof construction for use in a vehicle includes, at least one movable element, movable along a stationary guide extending underneath opposite lateral edges of a roof opening. A drive motor drives the movable element, where a drive cable at least partly guided in the stationary guide connects between the drive motor and the movable element. The drive cable is guided in a channel in the stationary guide. The drive cable includes, connected at one end, a drive cable plate. The cable plate connects with the movable element, the cable plate being slidably engaged with at least one wall of the stationary guide, wherein the cable plate further includes at least one separate slide shoe slidably engaging the at least one wall of the stationary guide. The slide shoe is capable of biasing the drive cable plate with respect to the at least one wall of the stationary guide.

A roof assembly for a vehicle roof having a roof opening may have a movable roof element for optionally closing and at least partially uncovering the roof opening, a strand-shaped sealing profile which is adapted on a sealing side for sealing against the movable roof element and can be fastened to a fastening side on the vehicle roof. The sealing profile may have a sealing tube which is elongated along a longitudinal axis (X) and which surrounds a hollow chamber, and a recess which extends transversely to the longitudinal axis (X) through the sealing tube, such that the fastening side is fluid-connected to a side of the sealing tube facing away from the fastening side.

TRUCK BED CLOSURE
A retractable truck bed closure is disclosed herein. The retractable truck bed closure comprises a pair of frames that extend across a truck bed between sidewalls of the truck bed. The closure may be moved between a stored configuration and an extended configuration along the pair of frames to open, and close, a portion of the truck bed, respectively. The frames may be attachable to the truck, or may be integrated into portions of the truck, such as the sidewalls of the truck bed or the rear of the cab of the truck.
