A vehicle arrangement is provided including a vehicle body having at least a partially open top and transverse window with a ferromagnetic frame, a flexible membrane sunscreen cover for at least a portion of the vehicle. A magnetic member connected with the sunscreen cover holds an end of the cover with the window frame.

Tarpaulin structure

The invention relates to a tarpaulin structure for an understructure, such as a truck, trailer, semi-trailer, railway car, dump truck or container, comprising a folding-top frame (16) and a tarpaulin (12) made of weather-resistant material, the folding-top frame (16) includes a plurality of struts (34); at the end, each of the struts has a carriage (32) that is movable along a guide (20), at least one bracket (36) is selectively pivotally connected to a pair of opposite carriages (32; 32′) of the strut or to the strut (34); said bracket (36) forming a tarpaulin folding aid along with a bracket (26; 36) of an adjacent strut (34), of a pair of opposite carriages (32; 32′) or of a stationary part (24) of the folding-top frame (16). In order to create a light-weight tarpaulin structure that allows an understructure to be reliably covered, according to the invention, the adjacent brackets (26, 36) are coupled to each other by means of a kinematic connecting rod assembly (38) that folds when the folding-top frame (16) is collapsed.

PANEL DEVICE

A panel device (10), particularly a roof light for a recreational vehicle, comprises an at least substantially polygonal frame (11, 12) which surrounds an opening (15). A window (20) is connected to the frame for pivoting about a pivot axis and comprises a panel (21) which extends over the opening. Provided between the frame and the window is a stay device (50) which is manipulable between a first position, in which the window is forced into a flat state and closes the opening, and at least one second position in which the window is raised by the stay device and leaves the opening at least partially clear. The stay device comprises a stay (51, 52) which extends movably from an elongate guide (61, 62) at a first outer end and is connected pivotally to the window at an opposite, second outer end. The stay (51, 52) is adjustable in the guide and is coupled to an actuator (78) via a flexible transmission (71 . . . 83). The transmission comprises at least one tension-resistant pull member (71-73) which is coupled to the stay (51, 52) and which is movable in an axially at least substantially rigid yet flexible sleeve (81-83), a first outer end of which is fixed to or close to the stay (51, 52) and a second outer end of which is attached to or close to the actuator (78).

Provided herein is an auto locking mechanism for use with a flat bed and a sliding tarpaulin system. The auto locking mechanism comprises a stationary guide having a longitudinal axis, where the stationary guide is securable to the flat bed between the flat bed and the sliding tarpaulin system, and a mobile component slidably coupled to the stationary guide along the longitudinal axis. The auto locking mechanism also includes an actuator that is operatively coupled to the mobile component. The actuator is adapted to impart motion to the mobile component relative to the stationary guide. The auto locking mechanism further includes an engagement arm secured to the mobile component for engagement with the sliding tarpaulin system. Movement imparted on the mobile component by the actuator slides the mobile component and the engagement arm relative to the stationary guide, thereby moving the sliding tarpaulin system relative to the flat bed.
