Fixed Window Assembly For A Vehicle And Method Of Manufacturing Same
The subject invention includes a fixed window assembly for a vehicle comprising a fixed glass, a trim portion having a polymeric base and a decorative member bonded to the polymeric base. An encapsulation is coupled to the fixed glass and the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in a spaced and adjacent position relative to the fixed glass. A method of manufacturing is also provided using first and second molding apparatuses. Polymeric material is injected into a first mold cavity of the first molding apparatus to form the polymeric base bonded to the decorative member. Polymeric material is injected into a second mold cavity of the second molding apparatus to form the encapsulation coupled to the fixed glass and simultaneously coupled to the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in an adjacent position to the fixed glass.

Windshield with molding and connective structure for cowl louver and windshield with molding
A molding includes a first molding portion having an upper surface bonded to an inner side surface of a windshield, a second molding portion, and a third molding portion extending from the second molding portion so as to extend along an imaginary extension of an outer side surface of the windshield. The third molding portion is formed in a rectangular shape in longitudinal section and has an upper surface disposed at a lower position than the imaginary extension of the outer side surface of the windshield.
PROFILE STRIP ARRANGEMENT
A profile strip arrangement includes a profile strip made of a profile material. The profile strip has a first connecting area configured to form a connection to an edge area of a windshield of a motor vehicle, and has a second connecting area configured to form a connection to a part that is adjacent to the windshield. The first connecting area has a lower connecting section which interacts with an inside of the edge area of the windshield and which has at least one free surface section that is free of the profile material. The at least one free surface section is formed by a surface of an additional element that is made of a material that differs from that of the profile strip.
