Tonneau cover assembly with a fluid management system

A bed cap configured for attachment to a tailgate of a vehicle, the bed cap includes a channel configured to collect fluid and/or debris, the channel comprising a first opening for evacuating the fluid and/or debris from within the channel.

Folding/retractable pickup truck box cover

A retractable pickup truck box cover system includes a pivot joint with improved strength, durability, and manufacturability between panels of a panel assembly of the cover system. A sealing system between the panels and along ends of the panel assembly provides improved weather resistance to the cover system. A lateral support system provides resistance to binding loads when opening and closing the panel assembly. The lateral support system may also aid installation of the cover system. A ramp adjustment system allows fine tuning of the ramps that guide folding and unfolding of the panel assembly. An improved locking system and the pivot joints allow more compact storage of the panel assembly. The improved locking system includes lock rods that engage rails of the cover system. Connecting structures connect adjacent panel pairs when the cover system is deployed and do not connect the adjacent panels when the cover system is stowed. A seal of the sealing system includes angled and/or transvers ribs to support a bulb of the seal when pivotally scrubbing against the panels. The seal includes a plurality of interior portions that selectively compress and bulge between the panels. The seal includes a coating that may provide stiffness, wear resistance, hardness, and/or reduced friction. A clamping system allows installation of the cover system without drilling holes and includes built-in fixturing for locating clamps and thereby locating the cover system on the pickup truck box.

System for molding encapsulation at glass window panel

A system for overmolding an encapsulation at a perimeter region of a glass window panel includes a mold having a fixed part and a first movable part, and a second movable part. Each of the fixed part and the second movable part has a seal disposed thereat. The fixed part and the first and second movable parts cooperate to receive and support a glass window panel and to define a seal cavity. The second movable part includes an elastomeric or rubber or VITON strip that engages a surface of the glass window panel during overmolding of an encapsulation at the perimeter region of the glass window panel.

Rolling tarp enclosure system

A tensioning mechanism for a movable, tarp enclosure system including first, second, and third arms, and first and second support brackets which are all connected together in a substantially triangular, adjustable configuration in which the first arm is rotatable relative to support brackets and when the first arm is rotated, the first bracket moves linearly along the first arm toward and away from the second bracket. The second arm has one end thereof pivotally connected to the first bracket such that the first end of the second arm moves together with the first bracket, the third arm has an engagement member provided on one end thereof which is configured to operatively engage a vertically intermediate portion of an end one of the bows, and the third arm has a length adjusting mechanism for adjusting a length thereof.

Vehicle sealing member and attachment structure of vehicle sealing member

A sealing member 30 includes a hollow seal portion 32. The hollow seal portion 32 has a slit 34. The hollow seal portion 32 has an engagement protrusion 44 engaged with an engagement hole 23 of a retainer 20, and a contact portion 45 coming in contact with the retainer 20 from outside in a lateral direction of a vehicle.

Sunroof unit

Increase of an overall thickness of a sunroof unit is suppressed even when a flange portion depending from a side edge of an opening of a roof has a large height. A rear panel contacts an edge of an opening via a rear seal portion. The rear seal portion includes a first seal member mounted to a rear molded part in a rear portion of the opening and a second seal member extending in a fore and aft direction and supported by a frame via a support bracket to form a passage for a stay between the second seal member and the rear molded part in a side portion of the opening. The frame includes a pair of guide walls disposed more inboard than a side edge of the opening and slidably guiding the slider in the fore and aft direction and a vertical wall formed to stand upright at a position more outboard than the side edge of the opening. The support bracket has a U-shaped cross section opened upward and is disposed to receive a flange portion depending from the side edge of the opening.
