A motor vehicle including a rear bumper and a front bumper, and a protective tarpaulin system having a flexible tarpaulin for covering the vehicle and a rear shaft that is installed at the rear bumper, the tarpaulin being windable around the rear shaft. The vehicle is fitted with two longitudinal sheaths a longitudinal slot, a slider being received in each longitudinal sheath and being connected via a traction cable both to a front shaft and to a rear shaft, so that rotating the shafts causes the traction cable to be wound and unwound, thereby moving the slider in the longitudinal sheath, which slider entrains the tarpaulin that is connected to the slider.

Various embodiments are directed to an anti-icing and ultra-violet (UV) reflective apparatus for vehicle windshields and windows. The apparatus may include a housing including a hinged door covering interior components contained therein. The components may include a cover component coupled to an interior of the housing that stores a cover for covering a vehicle windshield and vehicle windows and that reflects UV radiation. The components may further include a roller component, coupled to an interior of the housing, that stores a set of rollers in an anti-freezing compound utilized for coating the cover. The components may also include a turning mechanism coupled to the cover component through an exterior side of the housing that extends the cover onto the vehicle windshield and/or the vehicle windows to protect the at least one of the vehicle windshield and the one or more vehicle windows against freezing and the UV radiation.

A car cover assembly, having a base, a cover body, a cap and a storage body for the cover body; the base is removably mounted onto a car surface; the cap is removably or fixedly connected to the base; the cover body and the storage body are pressed between the base and the cap; the base and the cap clamp and fix the cover body and the storage body; after the cover body is completely folded, it is stored inside the storage body. The car cover assembly can be placed at anywhere on the car for use. A method of using the car cover is also provided.

The crank assembly includes a crank and a crank assembly shaft for transmitting rotations of the crank to the tarpaulin manipulator through a transmission assembly. The crank can be moved between a mounted configuration in which the crank protrudes axially from the crank assembly shaft and a stowed configuration in which the crank is folded over the crank assembly shaft.

A retractable vehicle cover apparatus for protecting vehicles from the elements includes a housing with a housing frontside having a cover aperture extending through to a housing inside. A plurality of adjustable feet is coupled to a housing bottom side. An axle is coupled within the housing inside and a crank extends through a housing right side to be in rotate the axle. A cover comprises a main cover panel coupled to the axle and a pair of side covers coupled to the main cover panel. The cover is windingly retractable and extendable around the axle. A hook is coupled to a distal end of the cover and is configured to selectively engage a bumper of a vehicle.

An arm extends between the actuator and the rod to allow the actuator to rotate the rod, the arm having an arm first end coupled to the rod and an opposed arm second end. The rod is coupled to the container so that the rod second end is movable relative to the container.
