Torque control device for four-wheel-drive vehicle

Provided is a torque control device for a four-wheel-drive vehicle that can stably output a minimum torque required to start or drive the vehicle to the auxiliary wheel side under a road surface condition that main driving wheels are stuck in the idling state or under a road surface condition equivalent thereto. When front wheels Wf1, Wf2 are judged to be stuck in the idling state, a current rear torque TrCMD is raised step by step. And, when a brake operates in the state in which the four wheels are at stop after raising the command torque TrCMD step by step, the command rear torque TrCMD is released. And, the command rear torque TrCMD is raised step by step when the command rear torque TrCMD continues to be released for a second threshold time.

OFF ROAD VEHICLE

An off-road vehicle includes a frame, a front suspension, and a rear suspension. In some examples of the off-road vehicle, the rear suspension includes trailing arms with are pivotally attached to the frame rearward of an operator area. Further, the frame can include a front subframe assembly and a rear subframe assembly which are easily removable from the main frame of the vehicle to permit access to various components of the off-road vehicle.

Hybrid vehicle and anti-rollover control method for the same

A hybrid vehicle for anti-rollover through active control of an engine and an anti-rollover control method for the same, may include detecting a roll angle of the vehicle, and when the detected roll angle is equal to or greater than a threshold roll angle, accelerating or decelerating, by a controller, the engine in a state in which the engine clutch is released depending on a direction of the roll angle.

Straddle-type vehicle

A straddle-type vehicle (100) includes a frame (20) and an engine (10) mounted on the frame (20), the engine (10) includes a cylinder head (11) positioned toward the rear end of the frame, and located below a saddle seat (80). The cylinder head laces toward the rear end of the frame, which allows the heated cylinder head of the engine and the exhaust pipe connected to the cylinder head to avoid contact with the vehicle the user's legs while riding the vehicle, so the effect of heat emitted from the cylinder head on the rider's experience is reduced.

Off-Road Recreational Vehicle

Embodiments relate to an off-road vehicle comprising a frame, including at least one cargo box support member, a suspension movably coupled to the frame, a passenger compartment, an engine, a transmission operatively coupled to the engine, and a cargo box. The cargo box includes a floor and a plurality of upwardly extending sidewalls, wherein at least a portion of the cargo box floor extends over the at least one cargo box support member and wherein the cargo box is removably coupled to the at least one cargo box support members and is removable from the off-road vehicle via the removal of fewer than eight fasteners.

Vehicle with engine power limiting based on clutch capacity

An all-wheel-drive vehicle includes a primary axle operably coupled to an engine and a secondary axle having an input operably coupled to the engine a first halfshaft, a second halfshaft, a first clutch selectively connecting the first halfshaft to the input, and a second clutch selectively connecting the second halfshaft to the input. A transmission has an input coupled to the engine and output coupled to the primary drive axle. A driveshaft couples a power-transfer unit and the input, and a third clutch selectively couples the output to the driveshaft. A controller is programmed to, during a power-limiting routine, command a torque to the engine based on closed-loop feedback control such that the torque decreases when a calculated slip of a selected one of the first and second clutches is greater than a target slip of the selected clutch and increases when the calculated slip is less than the target slip.

FRONT/REAR-WHEEL INDEPENDENT DRIVE VEHICLE

A front/rear-wheel independent drive vehicle includes: (a) a front-wheel drive unit including a front-side drive source configured to drive a front wheel of the vehicle and a front-side transmission mechanism disposed in a power transmission path between the front-side drive source and the front wheel and having a constant gear ratio; and (b) a rear-wheel drive unit including a rear-side drive source configured to drive a rear wheel of the vehicle and a rear-side transmission mechanism disposed in a power transmission path between the rear-side drive source and the rear wheel and having a constant gear ratio. The front-wheel drive unit and the rear-wheel drive unit are spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The gear ratio of the rear-side transmission mechanism is higher than the gear ratio of the front-side transmission mechanism.
