VEHICLE DRIVING APPARATUS
A vehicle driving apparatus includes: a rotary shaft having an axial hole that opens in its axial end; a casing storing the rotary shaft; a bearing provided between the casing and the rotary shaft; and a lubrication mechanism for supplying an oil into an opening of the axial hole. The casing is provided with: a recessed portion defined by a wall surface of the casing and located on a side of the axial end of the rotary shaft, such that the axial end of the rotary shaft and the bearing are located in the recessed portion; an oil hole communicating with the recessed portion; and a projecting portion projecting from the wall surface toward the opening and having a distal end located inside the axial hole. The bearing, the wall surface and the projecting portion cooperate to surround a surrounded space that communicates with the opening of the axial hole.
Patient Transport Apparatus With Auxiliary Wheel System
A patient transport apparatus transports a patient over a floor surface. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure and support wheels coupled to the support structure. An auxiliary wheel is coupled to the support frame to influence motion of the patient transport apparatus over a floor surface. The auxiliary wheel is movable to a deployed position with the auxiliary wheel engaging the floor surface and a stowed position with the auxiliary wheel spaced a distance from the floor surface. An actuator assembly including a lift actuator a biasing device, and a biasing load adjustment assembly. The lift actuator is operable to move the auxiliary wheel to the deployed position and to the stowed position. The biasing device configured to bias the auxiliary wheel towards the deployed position. The biasing load adjustment assembly configured to adjust a biasing force being applied by the biasing device to the auxiliary wheel.
In-wheel motor provided with cooling channels, and a cooling jacket
An in-wheel motor for a vehicle includes: a stator with a connector attaching the stator to the vehicle, the connector including a shaft, an end plate of a larger diameter than the shaft, and a coolant passage through the end plate, the stator further including a hollow stator body with cylindrical outer surface and mounted to the connector. Cooling channels for circulating liquid coolant extend along the hollow stator body and are in fluid connection with the coolant supply duct, the cooling channels having an inlet for supply of liquid coolant to the plurality of channels and an outlet for discharging liquid coolant from the plurality of channels; wherein, at a side opposite from the connector member, the hollow stator body has an open end with a diameter larger than the diameter of the shaft. Also disclosed is a cooling jacket for such an in-wheel motor.
In-wheel motor drive device
An in-wheel motor drive device (10) includes: a motor portion (21); a casing (43) housing a rotation transmission path from a motor rotation shaft of the motor portion to a rotating wheel; a suspending bracket (61) including an upper joining seat portion (62) joinable with an upper side suspension member (76) of a suspension device, a lower joining seat portion (64) joinable with a lower side suspension member (71) of the suspension device, and an intermediate portion (63) connecting the upper joining seat portion and the lower joining seat portion, and a fixing means (69) for mounting and fixing the suspending bracket (61) to an outer wall surface of the casing (43).
Electric car sub-frame
A sub-frame arranged to be mounted on a chassis of a car and to have the rear wheels of the car mounted thereon is arranged to receive an electric drivetrain arranged to drive the car. The sub-frame includes a cage including bars arranged to form an upper perimeter and a lower perimeter and a plurality of struts extending between the upper and lower perimeters; a pair of rear wheel suspension mounts, each rear wheel suspension mount being arranged to have one of the rear wheels of the car mounted thereon; and a plurality of brackets located on the cage and arranged to facilitate connection of the sub-frame to the chassis of the car and/or to the electric drivetrain. A frame and vehicle including such a sub-frame and a method of installing such a sub-frame are also disclosed.

Method of controlling driving of a vehicle using an in-wheel system
A method of controlling driving of a vehicle using an in-wheel system includes: calculating a time to collision (TTC) by dividing a distance between the vehicle and an obstacle located in front of the vehicle by relative velocity; determining whether the vehicle enters a braking avoidance section, based on the calculated TTC; and generating, by a motor mounted in each wheel, braking force of a brake by an amount of shortage of braking force of the brake compared with a demanded braking force if the vehicle enters the braking avoidance section.
Electrically driven vehicle
There is provided an electrically driven vehicle that well balances calculation volumes and communication volumes of two control devices configured to drive and control motors for driving. The electrically driven vehicle comprises at least one motor for driving and a first control device and a second control device configured to control the motor. The first control device is configured to calculate a target torque that is to be output from the motor, based on information including an accelerator position, to calculate a current command based on the calculated target torque, and to send the calculated current command to the second control device. The second control device is configured to use the current command, a phase current of the motor and a rotational angle of the motor such as to drive the motor by feedback control.
Vehicle drive device with variable transmission
A vehicle drive device with a variable transmission includes a first driving module that provides a driving force, a second driving module that controls a transmission ratio, a reduction gear part comprising a first sun gear, a second sun gear, and a planetary gear provided inside the second driving module, and an output part connected to one of the first sun gear, the second sun gear, and the planetary gear. In particular, the first driving module is connected to another one of the first sun gear, the second sun gear, and the planetary gear that is not connected to the output part.

The operation of an inverter is controlled so that the motor drive voltage is higher than the output voltage of each of the first and second batteries. A battery unit is configured so that third and fourth batteries each in a form of a cartridge are removably loaded, and the loaded third battery is connected in parallel with the first battery and the loaded fourth battery is connected in parallel with the second battery.
