The rotating body is configured to rotate integrally with the wheel member about the rotating shaft. A pair of worms rotatable about the same shaft as the rotating shaft of the wheel member. A pair of worm wheels are provided for the wheel member so as to be rotatable by meshing with different worms, and capable of transmitting each of rotations to the rotating body. The rotating body is configured so as to rotate or stop with respect to the wheel member in accordance with the rotational direction and the rotational speed of the respective worms.
Apparatus and methods for a spherical assembly
A propulsion apparatus and corresponding methods are provided. The apparatus employs weights within a spherical assembly that can rotate within the spherical assembly. Gravity, acting on the weights, causes a moment of a gravitational force to be applied to the spherical assembly, which can cause the spherical assembly to propel. The spherical assembly may also include one or more motors to rotate the weights within the spherical assembly. In some embodiments, the weights include magnetic cores and conductors. The apparatus can include magnetic windings that provide a magnetic flux through which the weights may rotate. The apparatus can also provide an electrical current to the conductors. As the weights with the magnetic cores rotate through the magnetic flux, the apparatus applies a current to the conductors. As such, a magnetic force is applied to the weights, which can propel the spherical assembly.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE DRIVE DEVICE
An electric vehicle drive device includes: a first motor; a second motor, and a transmission mechanism coupled to the first motor and the second motor and capable of switching a reduction ratio. The transmission mechanism includes a sun gear shaft coupled to the first motor. The first motor includes: a first stator core, a first rotor core disposed radially outward of the first stator core, and a first rotor holding member that couples the first rotor core and the sun gear shaft.
WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A wheel assembly includes an attachment module, a motor module, a battery module, and a wheel. The wheel is rotatably coupled to the attachment module about a rotational axis of the wheel. The attachment module has a plurality of coupling elements, and the motor module and the battery module each releasably couple to one of the coupling elements. The wheel extends around the attachment, motor, and battery modules. The motor and battery modules are identically shaped in a direction along the rotational axis.
Wheel drive module of modular construction
A wheel drive module comprises wheel (R), speed modulation gearbox (G), first electric motor (M1), and second electric motor (M2). First and second electric motors (M1, M2) jointly drive wheel (R) about wheel axis (A) by the speed modulation gearbox (G) and steer said wheel about steering axis (L). Wheel drive module comprises first motor electronics (10) for controlling first electric motor (M1) and second motor electronics (20) for controlling second electric motor (M2) and central electronics (30) connected to first and second motor electronics (10, 20), allowing a signal transfer. Wheel drive module comprises control logic for controlling first and second electric motors (M1, M2), which logic is provided by first and second motor electronics (10, 20), central electronics (30), application electronics (40) connected to the central electronics (30), allowing a signal transfer, or jointly by the central electronics (30) and the first and second motor electronics (10, 20).
Vehicle having non-axial drive
A two-wheeled vehicle is provided. The two-wheeled vehicle includes a chassis having a height, a length and a width, a first wheel rotatably connected to the chassis, the first wheel having a perimeter, a diameter and a geometric center, and the diameter of the first wheel being at least 75% of the height of the chassis, a motor for providing a drive energy to the first wheel, an axle rotated by the motor, a drive gear connected with the axle such that the drive gear rotates with a rotation of the axle, and a plurality of teeth disposed about the first wheel and mechanically engaged with the drive gear at a location closer to the perimeter of the first wheel than to the geometric center of the first wheel.
SPHERICAL WHEEL DRIVE AND MOUNTING
