An electric or hybrid electric vehicle comprises a vehicle chassis extending along a longitudinal axis and a rotatable vehicle drive axle disposed along a transverse axis and having opposed ends that are configured for attachment of a pair of opposed drive wheels. The electric vehicle also comprises a selectively movable electric propulsion motor comprising a rotatable motor shaft rotatable about a motor axis, the electric propulsion motor configured to be mounted within the vehicle chassis and operatively coupled to the rotatable vehicle drive axle and opposed drive wheels, the motor axis configured to be oriented in a substantially vertical direction, a selectively movable differential disposed on the drive axle and configured to operatively couple motive power of the electric propulsion motor that is transmitted to the rotatable motor shaft to the drive axle, and a motor actuator operatively coupled to the electric propulsion motor and the vehicle chassis.
Axle assembly having a rotor bearing assembly
An axle assembly having an electric motor module, a drive pinion, and at least one rotor bearing assembly. The electric motor module may have a rotor. The rotor and the drive pinion may be rotatable about a first axis. The first rotor bearing assembly may extend between the drive pinion and the rotor.
DUAL-POWER SOURCE DUAL-DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE
A dual-power-source dual driving assembly for a vehicle, includes two driving units that are symmetrically provided and connected to a same one set of vehicle axle half shaft. Each driving units is provided with a power source and an automatic transmission that are each connected to one half shaft of the vehicle axle half shaft. Moreover, each automatic transmission is provided with an input shaft, an intermediate shaft and an output shaft that are parallel. The three shafts have multiple gear stages with different transmission ratios, the power source is connected to the input shaft, and the output shaft is connected to a left or right half shaft of the vehicle axle half shaft. The dual driving assembly provides a transmission with two speed ratios, which results in flexible transmission modes, and shortens the axial dimension of the driving assembly.
BATTERY-OPERATED ELECTRIC MOWER
A battery-operated electric mower having a chassis that supports at least an operator support and a first and second drive wheel, each drive wheel respectively connected to one of a first and a second drive wheel motor. The first drive wheel motor may be connected to the first drive wheel by a first gear mechanism, which may include a first system of planetary gears, and the second drive wheel motor may be connected the second drive wheel by a second gear mechanism, which may include a second system of planetary gears. The chassis also supports a battery pack positioned, at least in part, within the same horizontal plane as at least one of the drive wheel motors. The battery may be positioned, at least in part, between the first drive wheel motor and the second drive wheel motor, significantly lowering the mower's center of gravity.
Powered utility cart and compliant drive wheel therefor
A lift-enabled motorized wheel assembly and material handling cart. A drive wheel is supported on an axel between a fixed leg and a floating leg. The axel passes through the fixed leg without interference, but is captured in the floating leg by a self-aligning bearing. The axle is driven by a drive motor that is bolted to the fixed leg through a right-angle gearbox. A vertical suspension unit provides compliance for drive wheel traction. A lifter sub-assembly alternately raises and lowers the drive wheel into and out of contact with the ground. The lift-enabled motorized wheel assembly is attached to the bottom of a cart frame, along with a plurality of caster wheels. The cart includes a tow-bar that is moveable between raised and lowered positions. When the tow-bar is lowered condition for towing, the drive wheel automatically lifts out of contact with the ground.
ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT ASSEMBLY
A drive unit assembly. The drive unit assembly includes one or more first motors drivingly connected to at least a first end portion of a first shaft. A planetary gear assembly having a sun gear, one or more planetary gears, a ring gear and a carrier. At least a portion of the sun gear is drivingly connected to at least a portion of a second end portion of the first shaft and the carrier is drivingly connected to at least a portion of the one or more planetary gears. A differential input member is drivingly connected to at least a portion of the carrier and a differential assembly. At least a portion of a first axle half shaft is drivingly connected to the differential and is disposed within a hollow portion of said first shaft and a second axle half shaft is drivingly connected to the differential assembly.
Wheel for motor vehicle with independently rotating tire and planetary gear system
The present invention relates to a wheel for motor vehicles that incorporates a planetary gear system within the wheel assembly. The wheel aims to increase the mechanical advantage of the wheel by providing additional rotation to the wheel axis of the vehicle, thus reducing the amount of fuel exhausted by the vehicle during transit. By utilizing an internal and planetary gear system with integrated motors housed within the wheel, the tire of the wheel is able to rotate independently from the axel of the vehicle in the same direction, thus providing an increased power output.
Multi-passenger electric transporter
The present invention is a self-propelled transporter with motorized drive wheels which is particularly designed to transport patients from one location to another. The transporter includes an undercarriage having a first set of wheels pivotally connected at a bottom and proximal to a front of the undercarriage, and a second set of wheels non-pivotally connected at a bottom and proximal to a rear of the undercarriage. The transporter further includes one or more electric motors coupled to the second set of wheels. The transporter includes a base supported on the undercarriage. The transporter further includes two or more seats installed on the base to allow for patients to sit thereon.
