Systems and methods are provided for dynamically protecting transportable articles in vehicles. A system for dynamically protecting a transportable article in a vehicle may include one or more processors and non-volatile memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to determine at least one of a characteristic or a trait of the transportable article; detect, based on sensed data, an emergency condition; select one or more article protection components based on (i) the at least one of the characteristic or the trait of the transportable article, and (ii) the detected emergency condition; and in response to detecting the emergency condition, deploy the selected one or more article protection components to protect the transportable article.

A transport refrigeration system having: a first engine (26) configured to power a refrigeration unit (22); a first fuel tank (330) fluidly connected to the first engine through a first fuel line (332); a first shut off valve (450) located within the first fuel line proximate the first fuel tank; a second shut off valve (72) located within the first fuel line proximate the first engine; a sensor system (80) configured to detect at least one of a crash of the transport refrigeration system, a fuel leak in the first fuel line, and an engine stall in the first engine; and a controller (30) configured to close the first shutoff valve and the second shutoff valve when the sensor system detects at least one of a crash of the transport refrigeration system, a fuel leak in the first fuel line, and an engine stall in the first engine.

Systems and methods for ride share monitoring
A detection system for a vehicle comprises at least one detection device configured to detect conditions in a passenger compartment of the vehicle and a controller. The controller is in communication with the at least one detection device. The controller is configured to monitor data from the at least one detection device prior to an entry of an occupant. Based on the data from the at least one detection device, the controller is further configured to identify at least one change in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The at least one change in the passenger compartment indicates at least one of an item left behind in the passenger compartment, damage to the vehicle, and contamination of the vehicle.

The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to access sensed data representative of at least one of a characteristic or a trait of a transportable article in a vehicle, determine based on the data the at least one of the characteristic or the trait of the transportable article, select one or more article protection components based on the determined at least one of the characteristic or the trait of the transportable article, and deploy the selected one or more article protection components to protect the transportable article.
VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM
A vehicle safety system that is mounted within a vehicle and operably coupled thereto wherein the safety system inhibits operation of the vehicle during the presence of an accessible cellular phone. The present invention includes a controller that is operably coupled to at least two operation systems of the vehicle such as but not limited to the ignition system and the transmission system. A scanner is present within the passenger cabin and is configured to detect the presence of a cellular phone. A plurality of storage compartments are mounted within the vehicle and have at least one sensor disposed therein. The storage compartments are equipped with locking mechanisms wherein the locking mechanisms are further operably coupled to the controller. The controller must receive a first signal from the sensor and second signal from the locking mechanism to permit operation of the vehicle.

A vehicle safety system that is mounted within a vehicle and operably coupled thereto wherein the safety system inhibits operation of the vehicle during the presence of an accessible cellular phone. The present invention includes a controller that is operably coupled to at least two operation systems of the vehicle such as but not limited to the ignition system and the transmission system. A scanner is present within the passenger cabin and is configured to detect the presence of a cellular phone. A plurality of storage compartments are mounted within the vehicle and have at least one sensor disposed therein. The storage compartments are equipped with locking mechanisms wherein the locking mechanisms are further operably coupled to the controller. The controller must receive a first signal from the sensor and second signal from the locking mechanism to permit operation of the vehicle.
