REAR CARGO REMINDER SYSTEM
20180111597 · 2018-04-26 ·

A vehicle rear cargo reminder system having a front door sensor, a rear door sensor, an alerting device and a controller. The front door sensor being configured to detect opening movement and closing movement of a front door. The rear door sensor configured to detect opening movement and closing movement of a rear door. The alerting device is configured to provide an alarm signal. The controller detects a sequence of events via the front door sensor and the rear door sensor. The controller determines whether or not an object might be located beside or on the rear seat of the passenger compartment, and operates the alerting device to provide the alarm signal to the vehicle operator in the absence of detection of conditions of an ignition switch of the vehicle.

Automatic torque control system

An automatic torque control system and methods for automatically controlling a torque of a vehicle are disclosed. The method includes detecting when the vehicle engages a load. The method further includes automatically decreasing the torque when the vehicle engages the load and prior to one or more wheels of the vehicle slipping.

Various implementations include unmanned autonomous vehicles (UAVs) and methods for providing security for a UAV. In various implementations, a processor of the UAV may receive sensor data from a plurality of UAV sensors about an object in contact with the UAV. The processor may determine an authorization threshold based on the received sensor data. The processor may determine whether the object is authorized based on the received sensor data and the determined authorization threshold.

Method and system for detecting and managing an electrical phase loss condition in a climate controlled transport system

A method for detecting and managing an electrical phase loss condition in a climate controlled transport unit (CCTU) is provided. The method includes monitoring a generator phase signal outputted from a generator of the CCTU. The method also includes calculating, via a CCTU controller, a phase shift amount based on the generator phase signal. Also, the method includes detecting an electrical phase loss condition based on the phase shift amount.

MASS DISTRIBUTION-INFORMED OPTIMIZATION FOR AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SYSTEMS

A method includes identifying suspension stiffness data and suspension deflection data associated with corresponding distal ends of one or more axles of an autonomous vehicle (AV). The method further includes determining, based on the suspension deflection data and the suspension stiffness data, driving constraint data for traveling at least a portion of a route. The method further includes causing, based on the driving constraint data, performance of a corrective action associated with the AV during the traveling of the at least a portion of a route.
