COMBINE HARVESTER AND THRESHING DRUM FOR A THRESHING DEVICE OF A COMBINE HARVESTER

A threshing drum and a combine using a threshing drum are disclosed. The threshing drum comprising a drum body and beater bars. The beater bars each have a beating edge which describes a circumferential circle about a center axis of the drum body, on which the particular beating edge rotates about the center axis in a beating radius during operation of the threshing drum. To improve a flow of harvested material while the flow is being transferred from a threshing device to a downstream separating device, a cutting ring is positioned centrally on the drum body, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the drum body, which rotates in the circumferential direction of the drum body. The cutting ring has at least one circumferential cutting edge which describes a circumferential circle whose cutting radius, measured with respect to the center axis, is greater than the beating radii of the beating edges.

SEPARATING DEVICE, COMBINE HARVESTER WITH A SEPARATING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING WEED SEEDS AND LOST CROPS FROM THE WASTAGE OUTFLOW OF A HARVESTING MACHINE

The invention relates to a separating device (3) and to a separating method for separating weed seeds and lost crops from the wastage outflow (102) of a harvesting machine (1). The separating device (3) is arranged on the harvesting machine (1) to the outlet area for the wastage (2) of the harvesting machine (1) and has at least one rotating separating element (31), with which a material stream substantially consisting of weed seeds and lost crops is separated from the wastage outflow (102) of the harvesting machine (1). The remaining material stream (103) substantially consists of non-grain constituents and can be spread back directly onto the field, while the separated material stream substantially consisting of weed seeds and lost crops can first be collected and e.g. rendered unable to germinate.

Cross vented residue disposal system for an enclosed combine body

A combine harvester includes a housing having a rear hood and defining an interior, a blower for generating an air stream in a substantially rearward direction, and a cleaning system separating residue from a crop material such that the residue is transported via the air stream rearwardly to be discharged from the housing. A chopper rotor assembly is disposed within the interior below the rear hood and includes a chopper rotor having a plurality of blades for chopping the residue as it is received via the air stream. A chopper housing is disposed within the interior and defines an inlet of the chopper rotor for receiving the residue and an outlet spaced rearward from the chopper rotor for discharge of the chopped residue from the interior of the housing. An air gap through which the air stream may exit the interior is defined between the rear hood and chopper rotor.

ADJUSTABLE STALK STOMPER/CHOPPER CURTAIN ASSEMBLY

An adjustable stalk stomper and/or chopper curtain assembly for a header of an agricultural harvester. The adjustable assembly comprises a control arm, at least one member connected to the control arm, wherein the at least one member is configured to knock down plant stalks and/or to shield the agricultural harvester from flying debris, and wherein the control arm is configured to provide for adjustment of the orientation of the at least one member relative to the ground and the header. Also disclosed are agricultural harvester headers comprising the above adjustable assembly and a frame having a toolbar, as well as agricultural harvesters comprising such headers and other machinery comprising such adjustable assemblies.

Combine harvester

A combine harvester having a chopper configured for chopping crop, which comprises a cutting cylinder fitted with chopper knives, a knife carrier fitted with counter knives, and a rasp bar arrangement. The counter knives and/or the rasp bar arrangement can be moved into a partial stream passing by the chopper. The harvester also has a crop spreading device configured for spreading the chopped-material stream emerging from the combine harvester on the ground in the rear region of the combine harvester, and a sensor unit configured for generating sensor data which represent at least one parameter influencing the spreading quality of the chopped-material stream emerging from the combine harvester. There is a control unit that adapts the position of the rasp bar arrangement and/or the counter knives depending on the spreading quality.

Weed seed destruction

Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.
