Augmented-reality map assistance to improve driver visibility
A method includes monitoring environmental conditions surrounding a moving vehicle, using an on-board sensor of the moving vehicle, detecting that at least one of the environmental conditions surrounding the moving vehicle is likely to impair visibility for a driver of the moving vehicle, based on an output of the on-board sensor, acquiring static map data for a location surrounding the moving vehicle, acquiring real time sensor data for the location surrounding the moving vehicle, where the real time sensor data comprises outputs of a plurality of on-board sensors of a plurality of other vehicles, generating an augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle, using the static map data, the real time sensor data, and the output of the on-board sensor, and displaying the augmented reality view of the location surrounding the moving vehicle on a display within the moving vehicle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A STIMULUS-BASED ANTI-GLARE SURFACE
A method, computer program product, and self-reversing material for incorporating a material into an interior portion of a vehicle, wherein the material is a self-reversing material. The material may be exposed to a stimulus, wherein the material has a first shape prior to being exposed to the stimulus. The first shape of the material may be altered to a second shape based upon, at least in part, exposing the material to the stimulus. The stimulus may be removed from the material. The second shape may be altered back to the first shape based upon, at least in part, removing the stimulus from the material.
Display device
A display device includes a light emitting element disposed in a region adjacent to a transflective object in a vehicle and a light controlling means disposed on a route that a first light and a second light emitted from the light emitting element propagate. The first light is controlled to propagate out of the display device at a first angle ranged from 30 to 45 degrees and toward the transflective object and the second light is controlled to propagate out of the display device at a second angle ranged from 0 to 5 degrees. The first angle and the second angle are between a normal direction of the display device and the first light and the second light controlled through the light controlling means respectively. A first ratio of a light intensity of the first light to that of the second light is less than or equal to 14%.
