Provided is a fastening component for vehicles that includes a holding member, a nut, and a spacer. The holding member is made of a piece of plate material and bent to form first and second opposing portions that oppose each other. The nut includes a bolt insertion hole and is arranged on an outer surface of the first opposing portion. The spacer having a cylindrical shape is arranged on an outer surface of the second opposing portion. The holding member includes first and second through holes respectively penetrating the first and second opposing portions in respective thickness directions thereof. The first and second through holes are arranged to be continuous with the bolt insertion hole of the nut. The spacer is arranged to surround the bolt insertion hole when viewed along a central axis of the nut.

LOCALIZED SILICONE HEAT SHIELDING FOR EXTENSION DASH PANELS

A method for making an insulated vehicle extension dash panel includes injection molding an extension dash panel from a structural polymer. The method further includes adding a plurality of components to a mixer to form an insulating foaming layer. The plurality of components includes a two-part liquid silicone compound, a catalyst, and a foaming agent. A screw is then coupled to the mixer and the insulating foaming layer is injection molded to an inner face of the extension dash panel. The insulating foaming layer is then cured to the inner face of the extension dash panel to form the insulated vehicle extension dash panel.

Removable steering wheel and pedals for autonomous vehicle

A dashboard assembly for a vehicle includes a dashboard defining a receiving niche. The niche is alignable with a driver seat location, and is selectively fillable by each of a removable steering module and a removable filler module. The removable steering module includes a steering module base. A steering wheel support is fixed to the steering module base. A steering wheel is rotatably fixed to the steering wheel support. A steering wheel connector connects the steering wheel to a vehicle steering actuator. The removable filler module includes a filler module base.

VEHICLE DISPLAY BASED ON VEHICLE SPEED

Methods, apparatus, and computer storage media are disclosed for vehicle display based on vehicle speed. An example vehicle includes a speed sensor to measure a vehicle speed, a display controller to compare the vehicle speed to a threshold, and a display. The example display is to present, in response to the vehicle speed being less than the threshold, a first button at a button location. The example display is to present, in response to the vehicle speed being greater than or equal to the threshold, a second button at the button location.

Instrument Panel Carrier For A Motor Vehicle
20250001867 · 2025-01-02 ·

An instrument panel carrier for a motor vehicle comprising at least two carrier parts following the longitudinal extension of the instrument panel carrier. The two carrier parts are spaced apart from one another by their facing end sections and connected to one another by a carrier part connector. The carrier part connector is profiled in the form of a laterally opening profile in the transverse direction relative to the longitudinal extension. Part of the instrument panel carrier is a strut connected to one of the two carrier parts next to the carrier part connector, and via which strut the instrument panel carrier is supported on the chassis of the motor vehicle, when installed in a motor vehicle.

INSTRUMENT PANEL SUPPORT STRUCTURE
20250018796 · 2025-01-16 · ·

The instrument panel support structure supports the instrument panel on the vehicle body via the support member, and includes a panel displacement allowing mechanism that allows displacement of the instrument panel with deformation of the support member in response to an impact applied to the instrument panel. The deformation of the support member causes resistance, and the instrument panel is displaced while being subjected to the resistance, whereby the impact energy is absorbed.
