Vehicle speed limiting device
An upper-limit vehicle speed should be prevented from being set to speed different from an intention of a driver. When it is detected that a speed limit is changed, an upper-limit vehicle speed setting ECU temporarily switches a control mode from a normal mode to an inquiry mode. An ASL operation unit serves a function for a change operation of upper-limit vehicle speed in the normal mode, and serves a function for a reply operation about whether the speed limit is accepted in the inquiry mode. When the ASL operation unit is operated in the normal mode, the upper-limit vehicle speed setting ECU does not switch the control mode to the inquiry mode, even if a change of a speed limit is detected, until a certain period of time (a certain period during which a mode switching prohibition period is set) has passed since the operation.
VEHICLE TRAVELING CONTROL APPARATUS
When an accept operation for permitting a speed limit to be set as a target speed has been detected, a driving support ECU gradually increases the current target speed toward the current speed limit. The target speed is displayed in a gradual-change display screen on a display apparatus. A driver performs a correcting operation at the time at which the driver recognizes that the displayed target speed exceeds the speed limit. The driving support ECU corrects the target speed based on the correcting operation.
PRESENTING TRAVEL SETTINGS FOR SELECTION OF NEARBY VEHICLE TO FOLLOW
Arrangements described herein provide adaptive cruise control systems that present travel settings for one or more nearby vehicles. Location information for one or more nearby vehicles can be acquired. Travel settings for the one or more nearby vehicles can be acquired. The travel settings can include a set speed and a set distance for each of the one or more nearby vehicles. Arrangements described herein can present within the vehicle the travel settings for the one or more nearby vehicles. A vehicle to follow from the one or more nearby vehicles can be selected based on the displayed travel settings.
Vehicle control device
A vehicle control device includes a single manipulandum that selects at least one of first to n-th modes in which ON/OFF states of mutually related functions are set, or a function OFF as an operation support function of a vehicle. An operation support controller selects a transition order according to the current mode when the current state is any one of the first to n-th modes, and sequentially selects each one of the first to n-th modes other than the current mode, and the function OFF based on the selected transition order, each time an operation of the manipulandum is detected. The n is a natural number of 2 or greater.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF A VELOCITY CONTROL MECHANISM FOR A VEHICLE
A velocity control mechanism for a vehicle operable to move in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The velocity control mechanism includes an acceleration control mode operable to accelerate the vehicle in one of the forward direction and the rearward direction, a velocity control mode operable to control a velocity of the vehicle in one of the forward and the rearward direction, and an intermediate control mode positioned between the acceleration control mode and the velocity control mode. An actuator is moveable between the acceleration control mode and the velocity control mode and is biased into the intermediate control mode.
System for switching control of an autonomous vehicle
A control interface for a first vehicle operation of an autonomous vehicle. The control interface detects an autonomy activation signal to enable a first automated controller to control the first vehicle operation. The control interface then couples the first automated controller to a vehicle control platform configured to manage the first vehicle operation in response to input signals. For example, the control inter face may include a double-throw electromechanical relay that switchably couples the vehicle control platform to one of the first automated controller or a manual input mechanism. The control interface then provides the input signals to the vehicle control platform from the first automated controller.
VEHICLE DRIVE ASSIST APPARATUS
A vehicle drive assist apparatus includes: an external environment recognizer; a vehicle-speed adjustment switch that adjusts a set vehicle speed for constant-speed travel control; and a vehicle speed controller that increases or decreases the set vehicle speed by a unit vehicle speed every time the switch is tapped, calculates a target acceleration rate based on a basic acceleration characteristic, and adjusts a vehicle speed to the set vehicle speed by using the target acceleration rate. When the set vehicle speed is so as to increase in response to the tapping and the set vehicle speed is above or equal to a speed limit, the controller calculates a first target acceleration rate until the vehicle speed reaches the speed limit based on a high acceleration characteristic, and calculates a second target acceleration rate after the vehicle speed reaches the speed limit based on the basic acceleration characteristic.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle includes an output pedal that controls the output of a motive section, a biasing member that biases the output pedal to return, and a brake pedal that operates a travel brake to a braking state. Also included are a holding section operable to a holding state of holding the output pedal at any depressed position and to a release state of releasing the holding of the output pedal, and a manual operating tool for manually operating the holding section to the holding state. Further included are a brake linkage section that operates the holding section to the release state when the brake pedal is depressed in the holding state, and an output linkage section that operates the holding section to the release state when the output pedal is depressed in the holding state.
