An ascertaining unit ascertains a loading request of a user of a number of loading requests for loading and unloading the dishwasher cavity, and a determining unit determines a movement sequence including a pivoting of the door and a movement of one of the receptacles based on the ascertained loading request. An actuation unit actuates the pivoting facility and the movement facility so as to perform the determined movement sequence.

The method may include measuring, when the fresh water has been supplied, whether the process water being accommodated in a sump of the appliance is at a target temperature value or not and if not adjusting the temperature of the process water in the sump to attain the target temperature value.

A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber and a door rotatably mounted to the tub. The door is configured to rotate between an open position and a closed position. The cord configured to rotate the pulley when the door is rotated between the open position and the closed position. A magnet is mounted to the pulley. The magnet is configured to rotate with the pulley as the door is rotated. A sensor is mounted to the tub proximate the pulley. The sensor is configured to detect the position of the magnet, and the controller is configured to disable the user interface based at least in part on the position of the magnet.

The invention is a also a system for cleaning an article comprising a wash module having the means to transform a soiled article into a clean article, wherein the position of said wash module remains unchanged; a first module for holding said article, wherein said first module pulls out, rises in height, lowers in height, and pulls back in, wherein said article is loaded or unloaded after said first module rises in height; a second module for holding said article, wherein said second module pulls out and pulls back in, wherein said article is loaded or unloaded after said second module pulls out; whereby said article can be loaded or unloaded comfortably without bending.
