To improve the user's convenience related to non-contact operation. An on-vehicle device 1 includes a control section that is configured to detect non-contact operation, and is configured, in a first mode, to analyze the detected non-contact operation and determine, on the basis of a first rule, whether or not the non-contact operation is an effective operation, and in a second mode, to analyze the detected non-contact operation and determine, on the basis of a second rule, whether or not the non-contact operation is an effective operation.

OPERATION SYSTEM

An operation system includes: an operation device manually operated by a user; a control device that controls actions of a plurality of apparatuses according to a visual line direction of the user detected by a visual line detection sensor and an operation content of the operation device; and a contact detection device that detects that the user touches the operation device. The control device enables the visual line direction detected by the visual line detection sensor and reflects the visual line direction in a control of the control device when the contact detection device detects that the user touches the operation device.

A rear view mirror system comprises cameras, a central control board, a hidden screen display, a touch pad, and a wireless control button array. The cameras are for recording continuous video inside, outside, or around a vehicle, taking snapshots, and providing real time photo and video information to remote monitoring devices on a user request. The hidden screen display is installed in a mirror of the vehicle for providing operational information of the one or more cameras and the vehicle. The touch pad is connected electronically to the central control board for receiving user control actions. The wireless control button array is for allowing a user to send action commands to mirror. At least one of the remote monitoring devices is configured for receiving and presenting the real time photo and video information from the cameras and controlling the operations of the cameras.

WORK VEHICLE AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD FOR WORK VEHICLE

A work vehicle includes a touch-panel display, at least one first physical button, and the circuitry. The touch-panel display is to display at least one first touch button, at least one first function, and work information. The at least one function is displayed in the at least one first touch button to which the at least one first function is assigned. The work information includes a state of work which the work vehicle performs. The at least one first physical button is provided outside the touch-panel display. The at least one first function is assigned to the at least one first physical button. The circuitry is configured to change the at least one first function assigned to the at least one first touch button and the at least one first physical button in accordance with the work information.

Contextual knobs for in-vehicle system control

Described herein is a control console. The control console may have a first contextual knob configured to control a first system, a display encompassing the first contextual knob, and a control module configured to update a first portion of the display responsive to detecting a first input. The first portion of the display may be adjacent to the first contextual knob.

OPERATION APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

An operation apparatus for a vehicle includes a detector configured to detect a motion of a hand; a display apparatus configured to output an operation screen; and a processing device configured to perform, based on the motion of the hand detected by the detector, selection and determination processes for selecting and determining one of selection target items in the operation screen output on the display apparatus. The processing device is configured to form, in a vehicle stop state, a first operation screen related to a predetermined function, the first operation screen being operable based on the motion of the hand, and form, in a vehicle travel state, a second operation screen related to the predetermined function, the second operation screen being different from the first operation screen and operable based on the motion of the hand easier than that in the vehicle stop state.

User device vehicle charger strategy

A depletion amount of energy required to charge a user device connected to a device port of a vehicle is estimated based on a state of charge (SoC) of a device battery of the connected user device. Responsive to an expected SoC of a LV battery of the vehicle after providing the depletion amount of energy exceeding a calibrated threshold amount of energy of the LV battery, the connected user device is charged during key off. Otherwise, an engine start/stop schedule defining a time to start an engine of the vehicle and a duration of run time for the engine is utilized to generate additional energy to charge the connected user device to ensure the LV battery remains above the calibrated threshold amount of energy.

Operating device for vehicle

An operating device for a vehicle includes a display, a touch operation surface set at a first predetermined position and pushable and returnable to the first predetermined position after being pushed, a coordinate detecting unit to detect a coordinate indicating a touch position of an operating finger on the touch operation surface, a push detecting unit to detect the push of the touch operation surface, and a control unit to display a cursor in a screen displayed on the display based on the coordinate detected by the coordinate detecting unit and to perform operation details of an item in the screen selected by the cursor based on the push of the touch operation surface detected by the push detecting unit. The control unit does not update the position of the cursor within a predetermined amount of time after the push detecting unit detects the push of the touch operation surface.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING A CONTENT DISPLAYED IN AN IN-VEHICLE SYSTEM

A system and method for controlling an in-vehicle infotainment system to control content in using a primary display includes a mobile device and the in-vehicle infotainment system in communication with the mobile device. The in-vehicle infotainment system comprises the primary display and a first secondary display. The in-vehicle infotainment system receives a first content selection signal for a first content. The first secondary display displays the first content in response to the first content selection signal. The primary display displays a content identifier corresponding to the first content.

User Control System for a Vehicle
20180170183 · 2018-06-21 ·

A user control system for a vehicle, which allows for a user control element to be assigned to control different vehicle functions. In the case of vehicle functions requiring a plurality of control inputs, e.g. a direction-related vehicle function, the control system provides indicator elements which highlight the link between individual control elements which have been assigned to control such multiple-input functions. The indicator elements are preferably provided as light-emitting elements positioned between adjacent control elements which illuminate to indicate the functional connection between controls.
