DUAL VIEW VEHICLE DISPLAY
Systems and methods for providing a dual view display for a vehicle including an autonomous driving system. The autonomous driving system may monitor an environment in which the vehicle is operating, sense a condition in the environment, and determine a vehicle response to the condition including one or more automated vehicle actions. Condition-associated data including information about the sensed/perceived condition and/or the one or more corresponding automated vehicle actions to the condition may be provided to a dual view display system. The dual view display system may determine a notification corresponding to the perceived condition and/or the automated vehicle intention and cause the notification to be displayed on a transparent display. The transparent display provides an operator interface to communicate the vehicle perception/intention to the vehicle operator. The transparent display further provides an external Human-Machine Interface (eHMI) to communicate the vehicle perception/intention to other road users.
Display device, backlight source, and automobile
Provided are a display device, a backlight source, and an automobile. The display device includes a view angle control panel; in a sharing mode phase, a same voltage is provided for the first electrode and the second electrode; in a privacy mode phase, a first voltage is provided for the first electrode, and an alternating voltage signal is provided for the second electrode, where a high voltage of the alternating voltage signal is greater than the first voltage, and a low voltage of the alternating voltage signal is less than the first voltage; in a transition phase, the first voltage is provided for the first electrode, and a voltage signal with gradually changing duty cycles is provided for the second electrode; where the transition phase is located between the sharing mode phase and the privacy mode phase.
Method for operating vehicle devices and operating device for such devices
In a method for operating vehicle devices in which different information is shown for different viewing angles on a display of a display device, seating positions of users are assigned to the viewing angles, the position of an object in a switching zone is detected and a switching signal assigned to the switching zone is generated, the seating position of a user assigned to the object is identified, and a control signal for the vehicle devices and/or the display device is generated as a function of the switching signal and of the seating position of the user who triggered the switching signal. Furthermore, an operating device for vehicle devices includes an input unit and a display unit having a display with which different information is able to be displayed for different viewing angles, seating positions of users being assigned to the respective viewing angles. The operating device includes a device for detecting the position of an object in a switching zone, a device for identifying the seating position of a user assigned to the object, and a control device, with which a control signal is able to be generated for the vehicle devices and/or the display device as a function of the detected position of the object and of the seating position of the user.
Text browsing, editing and correction methods for automotive applications
An automotive text display arrangement is described which includes a driver text display positioned directly in front of an automobile driver and displaying a limited amount of text to the driver without impairing forward visual attention of the driver. The arrangement may include a boundary insertion mode wherein when the active text position is an active text boundary, new text is inserted between the text items separated by the active text boundary, and when the active text position is an active text item, new text replaces the active text item. In addition or alternatively, there may be a multifunctional text control knob offering multiple different user movements, each performing an associated text processing function.
Selective Point Of View Imaging Display System
An automotive vehicle includes a cabin, a controller, and a multi-view display. The multi-view display has a first side facing the cabin and a second side facing the exterior of the vehicle. The multi-view display has a first-side display screen, a second-side display screen, and a blocking layer disposed between the first-side display screen and the second-side display screen. The first-side display screen and the second-side display screen are in communication with the controller and operable to display a first pattern on the first-side display screen and a second pattern, distinct from the first pattern, on the second-side display screen.
IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM AND INFORMATION DISPLAY APPARATUS
An information display apparatus that displays image information on a vehicle includes a HUD apparatus projecting a large-scale virtual image onto a distant position and serving as a first information display apparatus arranged between a windshield glass of the vehicle and an instrument panel, and effectively displays a plurality of pieces of the image information by making coordination with a second information display apparatus close to the windshield glass, the second information display apparatus causing a transparent dispersion sheet in the windshield glass to directly reflect a screen of a large-10 scale high-resolution image display panel so that the screen is observed by the driver.
