An automotive display device on which an image may be displayed, the automotive display device being for a vehicle interior, the automotive display device including an automotive frame, at least part of the automotive frame being bendable; and a bending controller to control bending of the automotive frame.

A vehicle display device includes a projector which emits display light of an image indicating vehicle information, a controller that controls luminance of the display light, and a screen that displays the image when the display light is projected to the screen. The screen has a convex portion that protrudes to a near side in a direction in which the image is visually recognized, and a concave portion that is recessed to a far side. In addition, the controller controls the luminance of the display light so that the display light projected to the convex portion (first parts) has higher luminance than that of the display light projected to the concave portion (second parts).

The present invention relates to a display device provided in a vehicle and performing communication with at least one processor provided in the vehicle. The display device includes a first display configured to output first light forming first visual information, a supporting unit configured to support a mobile terminal having a second display, and a light synthesizing unit configured to transmit either one of the first light and second light output from the second display and reflect another light, wherein the supporting unit is spaced apart from the first display with the light synthesizing unit interposed therebetween, and supports the mobile terminal so that the second light is directed to the light synthesizing unit.

A display device for installation in a vehicle can include a first display configured to output first light forming first visual information; and a light synthesizing unit configured to pass the first light through the light synthesizing unit, and reflect second light and third light generated by different light sources, in which the light synthesizing unit includes a first light synthesizing portion disposed with a first surface of the first light synthesizing portion facing a first direction, and the first light synthesizing portion is configured to pass the first light through the first light synthesizing portion and reflect the second light; and a second light synthesizing portion disposed with a second surface of the second light synthesizing portion facing a second direction different from the first direction, and the second light synthesizing portion is configured to pass the first light through the second light synthesizing portion and reflect the third light.

A vehicle display device includes a display showing surface configured to form a showing area and show driving information in image through a display; a non-display showing surface provided around the display showing surface and configured to form the showing area and switch between showing and non-showing of a notification symbol based on turning-on or turning-off of a back-side light source; and a front-side light source arranged on a side opposite to the back-side light source with the non-display showing surface interposed therebetween, and configured to irradiate the non-display showing surface with light to draw a decorative pattern, regardless of the showing or the non-showing of the notification symbol on the non-display showing surface.

A dial plate being nonopaque is in a disc shape. A slit member has slits each extending through the slit member in a thickness direction. A light source is located on an opposite side of the slit member from the dial plate. The light source is configured to emit light through the slits of the slit member toward the dial plate to project images on the dial plate.

Embodiments of a curved vehicle display including a display module having a display surface, a curved glass substrate disposed on the display surface having a first major surface, a second major surface having a second surface area, and a thickness in a range from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, wherein the second major surface comprises a first radius of curvature of 200 mm or greater, wherein, when the display module emits a light, the light transmitted through the glass substrate has a substantially uniform color along 75% or more of the second surface area, when viewed at a viewing angle at a distance of 0.5 meters from the second surface. Methods of forming a curved vehicle display are also disclosed.

A vehicle display device includes: a housing unit having an opening facing an eye point side of a vehicle; a decorative member disposed inside the housing unit; a display device configured to display an image inside the housing unit, a drive device configured to move the decorative member in a width direction of the housing unit; and an illumination device operated depending on a movement of the decorative member to irradiate the decorative member with light. The illumination device may have a plurality of light sources arranged along the width direction.
