VEHICLE DISPLAY APPARATUS
A vehicle display apparatus includes an image display panel, a backlight, and a translucent plate. The image display panel displays an image in a display area. The backlight emits a light in a direction from a back surface of the image display panel toward the display area. The translucent plate has a plate shape and is disposed between the image display panel and the backlight. The translucent plate transmits the light emitted from the backlight. The translucent plate has a three-dimensional indicator configured to be visually recognized through the image display panel, and a periphery portion of the translucent plate is disposed out of the display area.
Vehicle Tachometer Display
A vehicle controller determines likelihood of downshifting, such as by detecting braking and clutch disengagement. In response, the vehicle controller determines a desired angular velocity for the engine for a gear lower than a current gear. A tachometer display is updated to indicate the current angular velocity of the engine and the desired angular velocity. A difference between current and desired angular velocities is determined and fill in a region of the tachometer display, such as a sector between needles indicating current and desired angular velocities or most or all of a surface of the tachometer. The tachometer may be updated in the same manner according to a desired angular velocity in cases where the drive shifts into gear following coasting in neutral.
Indicator member, indicator unit and indicator instrument
To provide an inexpensive indicator member which can prevent a dark area from being formed at a location above a reflection part, an indicator unit having the indicator member and an indicator instrument having the indicator unit. A hollow reflection part provided to an indicator part of an indicator main body of a light-emitting indicator includes a plurality of partial reflection parts having at least an pointing direction reflection face, a rear end direction reflection face and a corner formed at an intersection of the pointing direction reflection face and the rear end direction reflection face and arranged at a location opposed to the base part. The corners of the respective partial reflection parts adjacent to each other are displaced in a pointing direction or in a rear end direction.
HEADS UP DISPLAY SYSTEM
A heads up display system of a vehicle includes a combiner screen having a first substantially transparent substrate defining a first surface and a second surface, a second substantially transparent substrate defining a third surface and a fourth surface. A primary seal is disposed between the first and second substrates. The seal and the first and second substrates define a cavity therebetween. An electro-optic material is positioned within the cavity and a transflective layer having a multilayer polymeric film positioned on one of the first and second surfaces, and a projector for projecting light having a first polarization toward the first surface of the first substrate.
ROTARY DIAL ASSEMBLY
A rotary dial assembly includes a rotary dial configured to selectively display a plurality of graphical images and a polarized film assembly disposed in the rotary dial and configured to control the selective displaying of the plurality of graphical images on the rotary dial. When the rotary dial is rotated the polarized film assembly is illuminated such that at least one of the plurality of graphical images is displayed on the rotary dial assembly.
RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE AND VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A resin molded article is applied to a vehicle display device for displaying information on a vehicle, and a high gloss region having a relatively high surface glossiness and a low gloss region having a relatively low surface glossiness are integrally molded. As a result, since the high gloss region and the low gloss region having different surface glossiness are integrally formed in a single resin molded article 1, the resin molded article and the vehicle display device obtain an effect such that various appearances are created with a simple structure.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device configured to show an image inside an instrument panel for a vehicle includes: a light source configured to emit light; and a light guide element configured to guide incident light from the light source. The light guide element includes: an emission surface configured to output incident light; and a plurality of light focusing portions configured to change the path of the incident light toward the emission surface, causing the light output to converge toward a convergence point or convergence line outside the light guide element or to radiate from a convergence point or convergence line outside the light guide element and thereby form an image outside the light guide element. The light guide element is configured to form light to thereby present an image.
Apparatus for recognizing a user position using at least one sensor and method thereof
A vehicle according to embodiments includes a display unit displaying information related to the vehicle, a sensor unit detecting a position of a user of the vehicle, and a processor controlling the display unit, wherein the sensor unit is located at a bottom end of the display unit and wherein the sensor unit includes at least one or more light emitting units emitting light and at least one or more sensors receiving the light.
Vehicular telematic systems and methods for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces
Telematics systems and methods are described for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces (GUIs). A telematics cloud platform is configured to receive vehicular telematics data from a telematics device onboard a vehicle. A GUI value compression component determines, based on the vehicular telematics data, a plurality of GUI position values and a plurality of corresponding GUI time values. A geospatial animation app receives the plurality of GUI position values and the plurality of corresponding GUI time values. The geospatial animation app implements an interactive animated GUI that renders a plurality of geospatial graphics or graphical routes on a geographic area map via a display device. The geospatial graphics or graphical routes are rendered to have different visual forms based on differences between respective GUI position values and corresponding GUI time values.
Heads up display system
A heads up display system of a vehicle including a combiner screen having a first substantially transparent substrate defining a first surface and a second surface, a second substantially transparent substrate defining a third surface and a fourth surface. A primary seal is disposed between the first and second substrates. The seal and the first and second substrates define a cavity therebetween. An electro-optic material is positioned within the cavity and a reflective polarizer is positioned on one of the first and second surfaces. A projector projects light having a first polarization toward the first surface of the first substrate.
