An agent device includes: an agent functional unit configured to provide a service including an output of a response to a voice to an outputter in response to a speech of an occupant of a vehicle; and a display controller configured to cause a display provided in the vehicle to display an animation regarding an agent corresponding to the agent functional unit. The display controller moves the animation between a first display area included in the display and a second display area of which a position is different from a position of the first display area in the vehicle in response to an instruction from the occupant.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A SAFETY SYSTEM FOR A SEAT SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND SAFETY SYSTEM FOR A SEAT SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

A detection is made as to whether a vehicle occupant seated on a vehicle seat of a seating system of a motor vehicle has put on a pair of electronic data glasses. If the vehicle occupant has put on a pair of electronic data glasses, a check is performed to determine whether a predetermined minimum distance exists between the vehicle seat and an interior component of the motor vehicle. If the minimum distance exists, an adjustment range of the seating system is restricted in such a way that it is not possible to fall below the minimum distance. If the minimum distance does not exist, the minimum distance is established by automatically adjusting the seating system and/or outputting a message relating to the noncompliance with the minimum distance.

System and method to control a vehicle interface for human perception optimization

A computer-implemented method for controlling a vehicle interface system in vehicle includes receiving images of a driver from an image capture device and determining a population group based on the images. The method includes identifying a human perception condition of the driver that is characteristic of the population group. The human perception condition limits an ability of the driver to perceive a driving situation of a vehicle operation and a stimulus output that conveys information to the driver in the vehicle about the driving situation of the vehicle operation. The stimulus output is controlled by the vehicle interface system. The method includes modifying the stimulus output into an optimal stimulus output that can be perceived by the driver with the human perception condition, and controlling the vehicle interface system to provide the optimal stimulus output to the driver during the vehicle operation.

Vehicle and method for controlling the vehicle

A vehicle includes a display for displaying a keypad to receive a command through a touch gesture of a user, and a controller for determining an operable area for the user on the display based on a user's shoulder height and arm length, and for controlling the display to display the keypad in the operable area.

ENHANCED TOUCHSCREEN OPERATION

A location of a first wearable device is determined based on a first biometric signature. Operation of a touchscreen display is restricted if the location of the first wearable device is in an operator's side of a vehicle cabin and the first wearable device is within a first distance from the display.

Method for Controlling Vehicle Functions

A method for controlling vehicle functions to increase the well-being and/or to increase the attention of at least one vehicle user in a vehicle. A number of vehicle functions are activated when at least one specific user menu is selected. Here, a lead function assigned to the user menu from the number of vehicle functions is predetermined in each case and the time and content processes of the other vehicle functions assigned to the user menu are coordinated with respect to the lead function.

TERMINAL, VEHICLE HAVING THE TERMINAL, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE

A terminal is provided to recognize a touch input and a gesture input intended by a user. A vehicle includes the terminal configured to display buttons to be selected by a user, and receive a touch input as user input. An image input receives an image of the user for receiving a gesture input as the user input and a controller divides an area of the terminal into a first area and a second area. The controller determines a button selected by the user among buttons displayed in the first area based on the touch signal output by the touch input, and determines a button selected by the user among buttons displayed in the second area based on a finger image and an eye image in the image.

Contextual autonomous vehicle support through written interaction

An autonomous vehicle including a sensor system that outputs a sensor signal indicative of a condition of the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle also includes a user interface device with a display. A computing system determines, based upon a profile of the passenger, that support is to be provided textually to the passenger when the support is provided to the passenger. The computing system further detects occurrence of an event that has been identified as potentially causing discomfort to the passenger. The computing system yet further sets a predefined support message defined in an account corresponding to the event maintained in a database prior to occurrence of the event as a support message to be presented to the passenger. The computing system additionally causes the display to present the support message textually, wherein the textual support message solicits feedback from the passenger of the autonomous vehicle.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

An electronic apparatus disposed in a vehicle is provided. The electronic apparatus includes an input device including a body configured to be rotatable and pushable and a display disposed on the body; and a processor configured to acquire profile data of a user including preset information for function of the vehicle, control the display to display basic user interface (UI) corresponding to the function of the vehicle based on the acquired profile data of the user, and control a function of the vehicle corresponding to the basic UI in response to receiving an input on the input device.
