DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes an image display device that includes an image display surface that emits light polarized in one direction and displays an image; and a superimposing display device that includes a transparent light guide plate that is provided overlapping the image display surface, transmits the light emitted from the image display device, and also has grooves constituting a pattern formed thereon, includes a light source that irradiates an end surface of the transparent light guide plate with light, and is switched between display and non-display of the pattern based on lighting and non-lighting of the light source. A polarization direction of the image display device and an extending direction of the grooves intersect at an angle range of 75 to 105. Accordingly, the display device can ensure proper visibility.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING MULTIMEDIA DATA WITHIN A MODULAR UPGRADEABLE VEHICLE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
An infotainment arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a permanent portion permanently installed in the vehicle. The permanent portion includes a plurality of non-upgradeable electronic components. A non-permanent upgradeable portion is non-permanently installed in the vehicle and is replaceable in the vehicle. A bi-directional digital link interconnects the permanent portion and the non-permanent upgradeable portion. The link has an uncompressed bandwidth of at least three gigabits per second.
VEHICLE DISPLAY APPARATUS
An embodiment discloses a vehicle display apparatus including a display panel, a housing in which the display panel is fixed and which is detachably installed on a holder provided on a dashboard of a vehicle, and a keyboard module provided with switches to operate the display panel and detachably coupled to the housing.
REMOVABLE AND DOCKABLE DISPLAY
A device assembly of a vehicle that includes a display housing where a display is attached to the front of the housing and a receiver is attached to the rear of the housing. The receiver couples to a receiver mount on the vehicle. An interlock connection exists between the display housing and the receiver mount. When the interlock connection is locked, triggered by the car being in a dynamic state, the display housing cannot be slidably decoupled from the receiver mount. When the interlock connection is unlocked, triggered by the vehicle being in a static state, the display housing can be slidably decoupled from the receiver mount.
Electronic apparatus
An electronic apparatus includes: a front surface member that includes a concavity in which an insertion aperture is located, the insertion aperture for receiving an object to be inserted into the insertion aperture, a bottom surface of the concavity having a support; and a cover that removably fits into the concavity to cover the insertion aperture. The cover includes a slider having an arc-shaped cross section. In a state in which the cover is fitted in the concavity, the slider of the cover contacts the support provided at the bottom surface of the concavity. When a part of the cover is pushed, the cover rotates, while the slider slides along a surface of the support.
MODULAR DASHBOARD SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A modular dashboard system including: a dashboard defining a channel; an electrical connector within the channel configured to be connected to a power source; a plurality of modules each configured to be seated within the channel, at least some of the plurality of modules including electrical contacts configured to cooperate with the electrical connector of the channel to power the plurality of modules; and a duct in fluid communication with both the channel and an HVAC system to transfer airflow conditioned by the HVAC system to the channel.
Decoupled driver controls module for vehicle
A decoupled driver controls module is configured to be selectively attached to and repositionable within a vehicle, and includes a pedal/steering integration structure configured to removably couple to the vehicle, a steer-by-wire steering column, and a steering column feedback actuator configured to provide one or more signals indicative of a steering angle of the steering column. A brake-by-wire brake pedal is pivotally coupled to the pedal/steering integration structure, and a brake pedal feedback actuator is operably associated with the brake pedal. A throttle-by-wire accelerator pedal is pivotally coupled to the pedal/steering integration structure, and a throttle position sensor is operably associated with the accelerator pedal. The decoupled driver controls module is configured as a single unit that can be installed into and selectively removed from the vehicle to facilitate repair/service or repositioning of the decoupled driver controls module within the vehicle.
