Electric and hydrogen technology automobiles and vehicles such as trucks, buses, ships and boats are believed to be the future of transportation; however for the time being, the problems surrounding the technologies are significant and have kept the consumers away for various reasons including the capacity of batteries and fuel cells, the lack of filling stations, and most of all the limited distance the vehicles can travel without a recharge, which for small electric vehicles can take up to 20 minutes before they can continue to travel with a full battery or fuel cell. Commercial vehicles in particular; cannot take the time to stop frequently and worst yet take the significant amount of time that it would take to recharge their systems. Hybrid vehicles still rely on gasoline which is available to increase the travel distance, but customers concerned for the environment have not yet embraced the solution and larger vehicles such as commercial trucks are not about to take the risk of being left out without fuel under any circumstances. This current invention “Airflow Power Generating Apparatus’ is for use in present and future electric and hydrogen technology vehicles and solves the challenges present today as it provides a system to charge batteries and fuel cells while the vehicle is moving forward. This system will extend the distance vehicles can travel or may eliminate completely the need to recharge batteries of fuel cells at homes or at charge stations.

The present invention relates to a high-altitude wind farm aircraft system. The aircraft has a plurality of wind turbines for capturing wind energy and converting same into electric energy which is stored in an onboard battery system. The electric energy, before storage, is stepped down by a transformer and converted into DC by an AC-DC converter. For use of the stored energy, the aircraft is brought to the ground and the batteries are removed to connect to a microgrid or any other electric circuit. The batteries can be installed again in the aircraft system for recharging with the aircraft going to high altitude for recharging the batteries. In one embodiment, the aircraft has an altitude indicator for indicating an appropriate altitude level for maximum efficiency of the system.

Wind based electrical generation system for vehicles

The present invention relates to wind-based generation of electrical energy. By providing small individual generation units that can be combined to have inputs at one or more wind pressure peak areas on a vehicle and outlets at low pressure locations on a vehicle, it is possible to contribute substantial amounts of wind-generated electricity for powering the vehicle without creating equivalent offsetting aerodynamic drag.

Electric Vehicle Charging System

The present invention relates to an electric vehicle charging system comprised of at least one duct, at least one fan, at least one fan pulley wheel and fan pulley wheel band, and at least one alternator with at least one alternator pulley wheel. The duct is positioned behind a grill of an electric vehicle such that air is funneled through the duct and into the fan, causing the fan to spin which turns an alternator through a series of pulleys such that the alternator charges the battery of the electric vehicle.

Kinetic energy taxi system and thermal energy recovery system

An aircraft with the capability of taxiing with main engines off uses the energy stored in a mechanical flywheel to power a propulsor(s) providing taxiing thrust. The flywheel can store energy generated by the propulsor operating as a wind turbine and/or by a power turbine in fluid coupling with the exhaust of a gas turbine engine and/or an expansion turbine operating with bleed and/or APU air.

PASSAGE PLANNING AND NAVIGATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide passage planning for a mobile structure. A passage planning system includes a logic device configured to communicate with a user interface associated with the mobile structure and at least one operational state sensor mounted to or within the mobile structure. The logic device determines an operational range map based, at least in part, on an operational state of the mobile structure, potential navigational hazards, and/or environmental conditions associated with the mobile structure. Such operational range map and other control signals may be displayed to a user and/or used to generate a planned route and/or adjust a steering actuator, a propulsion system thrust, and/or other operational systems of the mobile structure.

Disclosed is air turbine charging system for electrically powered vehicle. The electrically powered vehicle includes air intake vents and air intake ducts that direct air inside the system with a specific force. The system further includes one or more air turbines coupled with one or more gears and one or more alternators. The air intake vents and air intake ducts direct air to cause rotation of an air turbine causing them and their coupled gears and alternators to rotate and cause an electric current. This electric current is used to charge the battery of the vehicle using a regulator that regulates power between alternator and battery. The amount of air intake from the air intake vents is varied automatically while the vehicle is on move based on predefined conditions. Moreover, there are two batteries associated with the system which are charged and are used alternatively for functioning of the vehicle.
