A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.
CURRENT BASED SIX STEP CONTROL
A vehicle powertrain includes a DC-DC converter and a controller. The DC-DC converter is coupled between a traction battery and an inverter for an electric machine. The controller is configured to, in response to a rotational speed of the electric machine dropping below a back EMF threshold speed, transition to a current control based six step inverter mode and operate the DC-DC converter to output a voltage less than an open circuit voltage of the traction battery.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECYCLING MOTOR POWER OF A MOVABLE OBJECT
A method of recycling motor power of a movable object is provided to recycle and redistribute power from at least one motor in a decelerating state. The method comprises determining whether an operating state of at least one motor of the movable object is a decelerating state, and recycling power from the at least one motor having a decelerating state. The method also comprises redistributing the recycled power to other power consuming components of the movable object. The method of present invention increases the energy efficiency and a battery life of the movable object. The movable object may be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
Method for the diagnosis of the offset of the resolver of an electric machine
A method for the diagnosis of the offset of the resolver of an electric motor, comprising acquiring a predetermined offset of a resolver associated with the electric motor; in a first transient, supplying an excitation current to the phases of the electric motor. As a consequence of the excitation current, a current established on the axis d of minimum reluctance and a current established on an axis q in phase quadrature with respect to the axis of minimum reluctance are determined. The correctness of the offset of the resolver is diagnosed if the current established on the axis d in the first transient is higher than the current established on the axis d in the second or third transient, and if the current established on the axis q in the first transient is lower than the current established on the axis q in the second or third transient.
ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE CONTROL DEVICE
A rotating electrical machine control device where the changeover control circuit switches the source of electric power for the electronic control unit when the electric power that is supplied from the second DC power supply to the electronic control unit becomes equal to or lower than a predetermined first reference value and electric power that is output from the backup power supply is equal to or higher than a predetermined second reference value, and the electronic control unit uses the electric power supplied from the backup power supply to cause the inverter o perform the switching operation to perform fail-safe control.
OPERATION OF SWITCHING ELEMENTS OF AN INVERTER OF AN IN PARTICULAR RAIL-BOUND VEHICLE DRIVEN BY WAY OF LEAST ONE AT LEAST THREE-PHASE SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE
A method for operating switching elements of an inverter of a vehicle that is driven by way of a three-phase synchronous machine. The inverter has a series circuit of switching elements for the phases. When the vehicle brakes, the synchronous machine is used to set a cycle rate for the operation of the switching elements depending on a frequency of AC phase currents of the synchronous machine. The electrical energy provided by the synchronous machine is fed to a DC voltage intermediate circuit. The cycle rate is set according to the frequency of the AC phase currents, such that it corresponds to the frequency of the respective AC phase currents of the synchronous machine. Zero points of the AC phase currents are determined, and the switching elements are operated to set a predefined phase difference between the respective AC phase current and a respectively associated AC phase voltage.
Detachable modular electric skateboard and remote control device thereof
A detachable modular electric skateboard which comprises a board body, wheel frames arranged at the bottom of the board body and provided with wheels driven by external force to travel together with the board body and the wheel frames, a traveling suspension part detachably installed at the end of the board body, and a power supply control part arranged at the bottom of the board body and provided with a detachably-installed battery assembly, and further discloses a remote control device for controlling the electric skateboard. Through the detachable traveling suspension part and the power supply control part, the advantages of existing electric skateboards and ordinary skateboards are integrated, a user can achieve the function switching according to requirements, and the detachable modular electric skateboard can replace daily vehicles driven by manpower and perfectly shows the recreational significance of ordinary skateboards serving as sports equipment.
Optimized control of the operation of one or more traction systems of a train for entering and exiting from a coasting condition
A railway vehicle comprises a traction system including an asynchronous electric motor or a synchronous electric DC motor operable by an inverter electronic drive system. The vehicle further comprises an electronic control unit coupled to the traction system and configured to receive signals/data/commands indicative of operating conditions of the vehicle and of the traction system and to determine, based on the received signals/data/commands, the occurrence of a coasting condition of the vehicle and the occurrence of an exit condition from the coasting condition of the vehicle. If a coasting condition of the vehicle occurs, the electronic drive system is controlled to cause the electric motor to undergo magnetic flux changes. If an exit condition from the coasting condition occurs, and depending whether the electronic drive system is on or off, the electronic drive system is controlled to increase torque of the electric motor or to reduce magnetic flux reduction.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MOTOR FOR VEHICLE
A motor control apparatus for a vehicle includes a data detector detecting driving data and a vehicle controller controlling a drive motor according to the driving data. The vehicle controller includes an acceleration generator determining a request torque and a request speed using the driving data and generating a request acceleration using the request torque and the request speed; a driving point determinator selecting an inductance control current map or a motor efficiency control current map according to the request acceleration and determining a current driving point according to the request torque and the request speed using the selected current map; and a motor controller controlling the drive motor using the current driving point.
