Hybrid Power Management System and Method for Delivering Power in a Transport Vehicle
20230022717 · 2023-01-26 ·

Disclosed is a system configured to deliver power to a load in a transport vehicle, the system having: (a) a battery; (b) a super capacitor bank; (c) a bidirectional DC/DC converter configured to transfer power to/from the super capacitors in order to absorb/supply power from/to the load, and configured to transfer power between the super capacitors and the battery and/or the load in order to charge the super capacitor from the battery or load or charge the battery/load from the super capacitors in a controlled way (d) a hybrid controller, the hybrid controller configured to identify when pulsed power is required to/from the load and instructing the DC/DC converter to supply/absorb power to/from the load from/to the super capacitor bank and to identify when power needs to be transferred between the super capacitor and the battery/load to charge or discharge the battery/load and/or super capacitor.

Renewable energy vehicle charging

A renewable energy charging system for increasing the charging efficiency of an autonomous vehicle includes a computer programed to predict, in a vehicle at a plurality of locations, an amount of power generation associated with each location. The computer selects one of the locations based at least on the predicted amounts of power generation and moves the vehicle to the selected location.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY RESOURCE SHARING
20230226945 · 2023-07-20 ·

A system and method for an electric vehicle (EV) battery resource sharing system is provided. One embodiment has a plurality of battery modules and a plurality of battery exchange facilities. Each different EV contains a battery swap cabinet that is configured to releasably secure at least one of the plurality of battery modules within the EV. A user of an EV, while at the battery exchange facility, exchanges a discharged first battery module for a second battery module that has been recharged. The battery exchange facility releases the recharged second battery module to the user after a payment has been made by the user. The battery exchange facility subsequently recharges the discharged first battery module after the user has placed the discharged first battery module into the battery exchange facility.

CONTROL DEVICE, DISASTER SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

An ECU acquires history information on whether there is an experience of external power supply by a vehicle, and the ECU determines whether a user of the vehicle has experienced the external power supply, based on the history information. In a case where the ECU determines that the user has not experienced the external power supply of the vehicle, the ECU outputs recommendation information that recommends the user to experience the external power supply of the vehicle.
