DEMAND-BASED CONTROL SCHEMES FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE SYSTEM
A method of assigning a vehicle to a trip request in a transportation system including a plurality of vehicles configured to autonomously navigate along a roadway may include receiving, at a dispatch server system of the transportation system, a trip request. The trip request may include an origin location, a destination location, and a requested vehicle arrival time. The method may further include identifying a subset of vehicles from the plurality of vehicles, each respective vehicle in the identified subset of vehicles having sufficient energy to travel from the origin location to the destination location and having a respective estimated time of arrival at the origin location corresponding to a time at which the origin location is predicted to have available boarding capacity. The method may further include choosing, from the subset of vehicles, a selected vehicle having an earliest estimated time of arrival at the origin location.
Wheel rim-mounted regeneration coil-magnet system
A bicycle includes a frame, a charging circuit carried by the frame and configured to capture energy associated with movement of the bicycle, a power module carried by the frame, and a switch disposed electrically between the charging circuit and power module. The power module, in response to an indication that the bicycle is travelling downhill, closes the switch to enable energy transfer between the charging circuit and power module.
Method and device for managing a self-balancing vehicle based on providing a warning message to a smart wearable device
A method for managing a self-balancing vehicle includes establishing a first Blue Tooth connection with the self-balancing vehicle, acquiring traveling state data of the self-balancing vehicle through the first Blue Tooth connection, determining whether a smart warning mode is enabled, establishing a second Blue Tooth connection with a smart wearable device if the smart warning mode is enabled, acquiring a preset monitored item and a preset warning event, monitoring the monitored item in the traveling state data for determining whether the warning event has occurred, and sending a warning message to the smart wearable device through the second Blue Tooth connection if the warning event has occurred.
Vehicle equipped with power storage device
A charger is permitted to perform external charging of a power storage device in a connector locked state in which a charging connector is locked to a charge inlet by a connector lock device. An ECU releases the connector locked state in conjunction a door unlock operation of releasing a door locked state placed by a door lock mechanism. When the external charging of the power storage device by the charger is cancelled by the connector locked state being released, a different charging stop history, depending on presence or absence of a predetermined user operation after the external charging is cancelled, is stored into a storage device.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle comprising at least one electric machine as a driving device, said method involving the following steps: —verifying whether a current driving situation will allow the motor vehicle to reach a target position at a target speed by letting the motor vehicle coast; —displaying information to the driver of the motor vehicle if the target position can be reached by letting the motor vehicle coast; —measuring the time it takes the driver to react from the moment that the information is displayed to the moment that the driver initiates a coasting process; —actuating the electric machine as a generator in order to generate a deceleration moment if the reaction time exceeds a predefined maximum value.
CHARGING/DISCHARGING CONTROL DEVICE FOR ONBOARD SECONDARY CELL
In the present invention, in a vehicle equipped with an engine, a dynamo-electric machine, and a secondary cell as a power storage device, when supplying of electric power from the engine to the power storage device is stopped, an indicator value indicating the degree to which the ion concentration in an electrolytic solution is biased by discharging of the power storage device is acquired, a shift position is acquired from a shift lever mechanism of the vehicle, the acquired shift position is the neutral position, and the acquired indicator value exceeds a threshold value at which cell degradation occurs, the charging/discharging control device for an onboard secondary cell according to the present invention causes a notification means to issue a notification as a warning to change from the neutral position to another shift position.
Utility Table
A utility table is provided and includes a support table, a plurality of drive wheels, a plurality of guide wheels, and a drive assembly. The support table includes a top frame with a support surface and a pair of side frames extending downward from opposite ends of the top frame. The plurality of drive wheels are positioned along and extend below each of the pair of side frames. The plurality of guide wheels are positioned along an inner surface of the pair of side frames. The drive assembly includes a power source and control system to power the plurality of drive wheels.
Method of operating a drive device and corresponding drive device
In a method of operating a drive device, a sound signal is generated as a function of at least one operational and/or state variable. An electric machine of the drive device is hereby as a sound generator to output the sound signal. The sound signal can be determined from a time gradient of the operational and/or state variable.
Regenerative braking coaching system
A vehicle includes a regenerative braking system, which may include an electric machine, configured to provide regenerative braking torque to vehicle traction wheels. The vehicle further includes at least one controller configured to provide indicia for display to indicate performance of the regenerative braking system. The indicia represent a comparison of a braking profile that is recorded during a deceleration event and a calculated braking profile that is based on a detected forward object. In various embodiments, the indicia may include a numerical or letter grade representative of a similarity between the recorded braking profile and the calculated braking profile and/or a visual representation of the comparison of the recorded braking profile and the calculated braking profile.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device including processor being configured to, when driving sections are present inside a restricted region, extract as a restricted driving section from among driving sections present inside the restricted region a driving section through which it is projected the vehicle will be driven in a restricted time period in which operation of internal combustion engines is restricted, and prepare a driving plan able to drive through the restricted driving section in the EV mode.
