The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical instruments. More particularly, the present disclosure pertains to medical instruments for use with an endoscope, such as a biopsy cap and a biopsy cap housing with improved stability and stress distribution, for example, to securely attach to an endoscope biopsy port.

INTERNAL SEAL FOR BIOPSY CAP

Biopsy caps and seals, and methods for making and using the same may be provided in conjunction with an endoscope assembly. A seal may include a main body including a circumferential outer wall surrounding a central lumen. The seal may include at least one support wall extending radially from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, and at least one helical flap extending from the support wall helically downward along an inner surface of the outer wall, where the at least one helical flap defines an opening at the center of the lumen. The seal may alternatively include a plurality of projections extending radially inward from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, where the plurality of projections are arranged in a series of circumferentially and angularly offset layers.

ATTACHMENTS FOR ENDOSCOPES

Attachments for endoscopes as well as methods for making and using attachments are disclosed. An example attachment may include a housing. One or more angled locking members may extend from an inner surface of the housing. The angled locking members may be designed to engage a biopsy port of an endoscope. One or more stabilizing members may extend from the inner surface of the housing. A locking apparatus may be coupled to the housing. A sealing member may be disposed within the housing.

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to valve configurations providing sealable access for medical instruments to a working channel, such as a working channel for an endoscope.

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices such as endoscopes, endoscope assemblies, guide tubes, introducers, and instrument caps for endoscopes, guide tubes, and introducers. In particular, the present disclosure relates to biopsy cap configurations providing sealable access for medical instruments to a working channel, such as a working channel for an endoscope.

BIOPSY CAP AND BIOPSY CAP HOUSING

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical instruments. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a biopsy cap and endoscope biopsy cap housing with improved stability and stress distribution to securely and removably attach to an endoscope biopsy port. In one example, a biopsy cap housing may include a first center-split half comprising a first half of an upper and lower chamber and first pivot member, and a second center-split half comprising a second half of an upper and lower chamber, and second pivot member, wherein mating surfaces of the first and second center-split halves may be configured to interlock to define the upper and lower chambers.

Trans-platform apparatus and use thereof

The present invention relates to a trans-platform apparatus including a main platform and an operating device. The trans-platform apparatus of the present invention has the advantage of performing complex and various operations by inserting a maximum number/size of operating devices through a minimal number of openings within an operating space. In addition, since the trans-platform apparatus of the present invention does not use an additional connecting member for a spin shaft, the configuration thereof is further simplified, the operation thereof is easier, and power can be efficiently transmitted to an operating means. The trans-platform apparatus of the present invention is applicable to various fields including medical devices, and an engine room or a device for operating the inside of a radiator.

VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPE AND VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPE INSERTION SECTION

A video laryngoscope and elongate laryngoscope insertion section for a video laryngoscope, comprising a viewing port through which an imaging device within the insertion section can obtain images of a larynx, the insertion section extending between a distal end for insertion into a subject and an opposite proximal end, and having an inferior surface and an opposed superior surface, wherein the insertion section comprises a proximal region where the insertion section extends through a subject's teeth in use, a distal region extending to the distal end and an intermediate region therebetween, wherein the inferior surface of the insertion section comprises or consists of a curved region which extends from the proximal region through the intermediate region to the distal region, wherein the curved region of the inferior surface is continuously longitudinally curved along the length of the longitudinally curved region and wherein the longitudinal curvature of the curved region of the inferior surface varies in the intermediate region. Markings on an elongate laryngoscope insertion can be used to monitor depth of insertion and to indicate a path by which an endotracheal tube should be inserted.

Medical devices and related methods

A medical device may include a spool element, including a channel to receive or store a coiled element, and a handle element. The handle element may be coupled to the spool element and include a lumen that at least partially opens into the channel. The medical device may also include an introducer element coupled to the handle, and relative rotation of the spool element and the handle element may dispense or retract the coiled element from the introducer.

A filter assembly is configured to optically couple a camera head to an endoscope. The filter assembly includes a first end adapted to be removably coupled to the camera head and a second end opposite and spaced apart from the first end, the second end adapted to be removably coupled to the endoscope. The filter assembly includes an optic housing disposed between the first end and the second end, the optic housing includes an optical path length maximizer and a first window. The first window has a first surface that is angled with respect to a plane that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the optic housing so as to minimize a narcissus reflection within the optic housing and an optical filter to reject laser irradiation.
