ARTHROSCOPIC SYSTEM WITH DISPOSABLE ARTHROSCOPE HAVING IMAGE ROTATION FUNCTION AND METHOD THEREOF
The present application provides an arthroscopic system, which comprises an disposable arthroscope having a distal end and a proximal end, and comprising a light source, a lens set, an image sensor, a transmitter, and a control interface. The present application eliminates the possibility of infecting the patient with contaminated devices by its cost-effectively disposable arthroscope. The present application also provides a method for image rotating in an arthroscopic system.
Endoscope
An endoscope includes: an insertion section inserted into a subject; an operating unit continuously connected to a proximal end of the insertion section; an observation unit disposed at a distal end of the insertion section, and configured to observe the subject; a treatment instrument insertion passage configured to allow insertion of a treatment instrument providing medical treatment to the subject, and project the treatment instrument from a distal end portion of the insertion section; a distal bending portion disposed at a distal end of the treatment instrument insertion passage, and configured to bend according to a raising operation of the operating unit, the distal bending portion including a tube including a super elastic alloy and including a slit formed to reduce power required for the bending operation, and being configured to raise the treatment instrument; and a coating portion provided to cover the distal bending portion.
VIDEO ENDOSCOPE
A video endoscope including: an outer casing tube; an inner casing tube disposed within the outer casing tube; a fiber tube disposed between the outer and inner casing tubes, an image-forming unit being accommodated in the inner casing tube; and a heating film provided between the fiber tube and the inner casing tube.
TAPERED TUBULAR MEMBERS FOR LAPAROSCOPIC MICROWAVE ABLATION INSTRUMENTS
A tubular member for a laparoscopic microwave ablation instrument includes a proximal portion, a distal portion, and an intermediate portion interposed between the proximal portion and the distal portion. A maximum outer diameter of the proximal portion is greater than or equal to a maximum outer diameter of the intermediate portion. The maximum outer diameter of the intermediate portion is greater than or equal to a maximum outer diameter of the distal portion. And the maximum outer diameter of the proximal portion is greater than the maximum outer diameter of the distal portion.
Devices, systems, and methods for providing sealable access to a working channel
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices such as endoscopes, endoscope assemblies, guide tubes, introducers, and instrument caps for endoscopes, guide tubes, and introducers. In particular, the present disclosure relates to biopsy cap configurations providing sealable access for medical instruments to a working channel, such as a working channel for an endoscope.
Medical observation system, apparatus, control method, and imaging apparatus using different wobbling operation for different observation modes
A light emitting device irradiates a surgical area with first wavelength light and second wavelength light. A wobbling operation of a focus lens included in an imaging device is controlled according to an emission timing of the first wavelength light and the second wavelength light when the surgical area is alternately irradiated with the first wavelength light and the second wavelength light. The present disclosure can be applied to an endoscopic surgical system, for example.
Hermetic seal and a method of assembling
A hermetic seal between an optical element and a metal mount or housing using a fluoropolymer. The fluoropolymer is dispersed along the interior edge of the metal mount. The metal mount and fluoropolymer are then heated to a temperature exceeding the melting point of the fluoropolymer. Once heated the optical element is pressed into the metal mount and allowed to cool. The metal mount, optical element and thickness of fluoropolymer are sized to provide an interference fit between the metal mount and optical element.
Flash thermography borescope
A flash thermography device for generating an infrared image of each of a plurality of rotating turbine components located inside a turbine. The device includes an infrared sensor for detecting thermal energy radiated by each component. The device also includes a borescope having a viewing end located on a longitudinal axis of the borescope. The borescope is positioned in an inspection port to locate the viewing end inside the turbine such that at least one component is within a field of view of the viewing end. In addition, the device includes a flash source that generates a plurality of light pulses corresponding to the number of components that rotate during a single rotation of the rotor, wherein the light pulses are oriented substantially transverse to the longitudinal. Thermal energy radiated from each component is transmitted through the borescope to the infrared sensor to enable generation infrared images.
ENDOSCOPIC IMMERSION PROBE END OPTICS FOR LASER SPECTROSCOPY
In one aspect of the present disclosure, improved end optics are disclosed that maximize the numerical aperture focused at a sample point while minimizing unwanted artifacts such as vignetting. The configurations also maintain centering of the excitation/collection beam on the objective if the probe tilts or bends. The disclosed configurations are particularly suited to probes wherein the excitation and/or collection paths between the probe and the laser/analyzer are coupled through multimode fibers, such as in Raman and other forms of laser spectroscopy. The disclosure includes the insertion of one or more additional lenses between the probe head and the focusing objective at the probe tip.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEVICE EXCHANGE IN AN ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURE
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for device exchange in an endoscopic procedure. In one implementation, a system for device exchange in an endoscopic procedure includes an elongated device having a slit extending from a distal end to a proximal end of the elongated device, a main block, and an adapter. The main block is configured to be affixed to a port of an endoscope. The main block includes a main channel for receiving a guidewire and the elongated device. The adapter can be engaged with the main block and configured to merge the guidewire into the elongated device. The adapter includes a working channel for receiving the elongated device and a working member raising from an inner wall of the working channel. When the elongated device passes through the working channel, the working member wedges open a portion of the slit of the elongated device such that a portion of the guidewire merges into the elongated device through the opened portion of the slit.
