ENDOSCOPE
There is provided an endoscope that allows the distal end portion of a wire and a treatment tool-elevator to be easily connected to each other. An engaging portion (100) is provided at the distal end portion of a wire (60). An elevator (30) is provided with a contact portion (101) that applies a rotational moving force acting in a fallen direction to the elevator (30) in a case where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion. The elevator (30) is provided with a housing portion (102) in which an opening (104) is formed. A wall portion (81) is provided at a position that faces the movement trajectory of the engaging portion (100) in a case where the elevator (30) is moved between an elevated position and a fallen position in a state where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion (101). In a state where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion (101), the wall portion (81) regulates the movement of the engaging portion (100) in a direction where the engaging portion (100) enters the opening (104) in a case where the elevator (30) is present between the elevated position and the fallen position and allows the movement of the engaging portion (100) in the direction where the engaging portion (100) enters the opening (104) in a case where the elevator (30) is present between the fallen position and an attachment/detachment position.
CORDLESS DISPOSABLE ENDOSCOPE
A cordless endoscope assembly includes a housing, an endoscope tube and an eyepiece. Electronics are housed in the housing and operable to operate one or more light sources in the endoscope, the electronics including one or more batteries and a printed circuit board. The housing includes a connector configured to removably couple with a cannula connector of a cannula when the endoscope tube is inserted through the cannula. The cordless endoscope is a disposable single use endoscope that can optionally be sterilized with an ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization process.

OPTICAL FIBRE WITH A FUNCTIONALISED EXPLORATION END
An optical fibre having a functionalised distal exploration end including a sheath, and a ferrule rigidly connected to the sheath at the distal exploration end, characterised in that the distal exploration end has a functionalised head which is removably attached on the ferrule. Also, a method of assembling the optical fibre.
Endoscopic surgical device and overtube
Provided is an endoscopic surgical device and an overtube with which a surgeon can easily obtain a desired image and operability is high. The overtube includes a slider within an overtube body, which guides an endoscope and a treatment tool into a body cavity. An endoscope-coupled part and a treatment tool-coupled part are provided inside the slider, and the slider has a dead zone where the forward and backward movement of either the endoscope or the treatment tool does not interlock with the movement of the other and a sensing zone where the forward and backward movement of either the endoscope or the treatment tool interlocks with the movement of the other. F1>F2 is satisfied when a fixing force for fixing the endoscope-coupled part to the endoscope tool is defined as F1 and a fixing force for fixing the treatment tool-coupled part to the treatment tool is defined as F2.
MULTI-STAGE INSTRUMENT CONNECTOR
A surgical instrument and control console include connectors that provide coupling for at least two operational channels for the surgical instrument. By incorporating discrete engagement elements for each operational channel in a single connector housing, robust, reliable, and efficient connections can be made.
Image pickup apparatus including solid-state image pickup device and electronic component mounted on folded flexible substrate and endoscope including the image pickup apparatus
An image pickup apparatus includes a flexible substrate, the flexible substrate includes a plurality of functional regions segmented by bending portions, one of the functional regions is an image pickup device mounting region, one of the functional regions is at least two electronic component mounting regions folded at the bending portions, and one of the functional regions is at least one wiring region provided between the adjacent mounting regions of the flexible substrate, the image pickup device mounting region has a largest surface shape among the plurality of functional regions, and the plurality of functional regions decrease in length of each of at least paired opposing sides of each surface shape, in a stepwise manner as a distance from the image pickup device mounting region increases.
ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope includes an insertion portion provided with a controllable curved tube. The controllable curved tube includes a plurality of circular tube sections connected in series. A first C-shaped engaging portion is arranged at one end of each tube section. A first included angle is formed between the opening direction of the first C-shaped engaging portion and the axial direction of the tube section to which the first C-shaped engaging portion belongs. A first C-shaped notch is arranged around the outside of the first C-shaped engaging portion. The other end of the tube section is provided with a second C-shaped engaging portion that is engaged with the first C-shaped notch of another tube section. The inner side of the second C-shaped engaging portion is provided with a second C-shaped notch and a spherical protrusion which are engaged with a first C-shaped engaging portion of another tube section.
Light source apparatus
An optical sensor that detects intensity of light is disposed, inside an optical case, at a position that allows the optical sensor to receive light other than light received by a lens system, out of light emitted by an LED. The optical sensor is housed in a dedicated photometric case. The photometric case is provided with a light guide portion that includes a transmission part and a shielding part. The transmission part is disposed in an optical path of light that directly travels from the LED to the optical sensor and allows transmission of the light. The shielding part blocks indirect light that is reflected or scattered inside the optical case, from entering the optical sensor. Accordingly, it is possible to accurately detect only the light in the direct optical path from the LED.
MEDICAL SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND RELATED METHODS
A medical system includes an insertion device including a delivery shaft with an internal lumen, a coupling tube coupled to the delivery shaft and configured to receive a medical device, and a liner tube inserted through the internal lumen of the delivery shaft.
