Ergonomic Tubing Attachment for Medical Apparatus
An ergonomic attachment system for connecting an irrigation tube or an aspiration tube to a surgical handpiece that reduces surgeon wrist fatigue due to tubing twist. The tube is connected to the handpiece through a swivel joint which allows the tube to rotate circumferentially with respect to the handpiece and self-adjust to a neutral position to relieve the twist.
Rotational device and method for rotating an endoscope
A rotational device for rotating an endoscope having a stationary assembly, a rotatable assembly, which includes a distal coupling means for coupling to an endoscope, a drive means, which is embodied for putting the distal coupling means into rotational motion for rotating an endoscope connected to the distal coupling means, a proximal coupling means at the stationary assembly for coupling to a camera device, and an optical unit for transmitting light from the distal coupling means to the proximal coupling means.
Methods and apparatus for calibration of a sensor associated with an endoscope
Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus including an enclosure configured to receive an endoscope having an electromagnetic radiation sensor. The apparatus also includes an electromagnetic radiation source having at least a portion disposed within the enclosure. The electromagnetic radiation source is configured to emit electromagnetic radiation based on a calibration instruction. The electromagnetic radiation sensor is configured to receive at least a portion of the electromagnetic radiation when at least a portion of the endoscope is coupled to the enclosure.
Detection of residual fluid in endoscope channels
A device and method for testing for the presence of liquid in a cannula of a medical instrument is described. The device includes a flexible guide member having a first end, a second end and a length extending from the first end to the second end, an elongated member arranged within the flexible guide member, and an absorbent material attached to one of the elongated member. The flexible guide member is inserted into the cannula, the flexible guide member is manipulated to cause the absorbent material to move through the cannula. The absorbent material is analyzed for the presence of liquid.
ENDOSCOPY AUXILIARY DEVICE
An endoscopy auxiliary device includes an insertion tube and a clamping unit. The clamping unit has a pipe and a connector. The connector is connected to the insertion tube. The tube is configured to clamp a capsule endoscopy. The pipe has an inner space configured to accommodate a part of the capsule endoscopy. The pipe includes a first slit, a second slit and a third slit. The first slit extends from a free end of the pipe for a first distance toward a connection end of the pipe. The second slit extends from the free end of the pipe for the connection distance toward the connection end of the pipe. The third slit extends from the free end of the pipe for a third distance toward the connection end of the pipe. The first slit, the second slit and the third slit are separated from each other.
MONITORING AND TREATMENT OF GASTROINTESTINAL CONDITIONS
A tissue treatment system for diagnosing and/or treating gastrointestinal conditions is described where an endoscopic capsule sized for passage through an intestinal tract is used with a jaw assembly. The jaw assembly defines a region for maintaining a position of the endoscopic capsule and the endoscopic capsule comprises at least one actuator which can be activated for enhancing visualization within the intestinal tract.
PRESSURE AUGMENTED SCOPING PROCEDURE PADDLES
The instance pressure paddles decrease the physical stress on healthcare providers. It allows healthcare professionals to apply focused, even pressure on the human lower abdomen while rotating positions during a colonoscopy procedure. The device can reduce injury to both providers and patients. The device allows procedure times to become more predictable which in turn improves scheduling for patients and teams performing the procedure.
AN ENHANCED FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC ENDOSCOPY APPARATUS
An enhanced flexible robotic endoscopy apparatus includes a main body and flexible elongate shaft. The main body comprises a proximal end, a distal end and a housing that extends to the proximal end and the housing comprises a plurality of surfaces and a plurality of insertion inlets which reside on at least one of the surface of the housing at the proximal end of the main body, through which a plurality of channels for endoscopy are accessible. Each of the insertion inlets has insertion axis corresponding thereto, along which flexible elongate assemblies are insertable, with the insertion axes of the insertion inlets being parallel to the central axis of the flexible elongate shaft at the proximal end of the flexible elongate shaft.
ACCESSORIES FOR HANDHELD SPECTROMETER
A handheld spectrometer apparatus may comprise an accessory coupled to a spectrometer, where the accessory is configured to receive a liquid sample pipette to facilitate measurement, using the spectrometer, of a liquid sample within the pipette. A handheld spectrometer apparatus to measure a body lumen of a subject can include an illumination unit, a spectrometer unit, a housing containing the illumination unit and the spectrometer unit and an accessory comprising a plurality of optical fibers. The optical fibers can be configured to guide light from the illumination unit to the body lumen and back from the body lumen to the spectrometer unit.
LENS BASE, DISTAL MODULE, ENDOSCOPE, AND ASSEMBLY METHOD FOR DISTAL MODULE
A lens base, a distal module, an endoscope, and an assembly method for the distal module are provided. The lens base includes a lens base body, where the lens base body is axially provided with a camera module accommodating portion that includes a camera channel and an illumination channel. A side wall of the lens base body is provided with a camera module opening portion. The camera module opening portion includes a first opening portion and a second opening portion that are adjacent to each other. The first opening portion is communicated with the camera channel, and the second opening portion is communicated with the illumination channel. The first opening portion is configured to mount a camera unit, and the second opening portion is configured to mount an illumination unit.
