Laparascope and endoscope cleaning and defogging device
A laparascope and endoscope cleaning and defogging device with a port located horizontally that is used to warm the scope prior to insertion into the body cavity/surgical site. The scope punctures the initial membrane and enters the cavity between two bodies of absorbent material that contain fluid. The absorbent material is arranged such that the passage of a scope would be accommodated for different sizes of surgical scopes. A circuit board is located on the bottom of the chamber that has a design element used to warm the liquid to a temperature equal to or greater than the temperature of the proposed surgical environment. When the scope is located between the two absorbent bodies, the heat generated by the circuit board is transferred via the liquid and contacts the scope, warming it in preparation for surgery.
DETECTING AND GUIDING OPTICAL CONNECTION(S) FOR ONE OR MORE IMAGING MODALITIES, SUCH AS IN OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY
One or more devices, systems, methods, and storage mediums for detecting and guiding optical connection(s) using one or more imaging modalities are provided herein. Examples of applications include imaging, evaluating and diagnosing biological objects, such as, but not limited to, for Gastro-intestinal, cardio and/or ophthalmic applications, and being obtained via one or more optical instruments, such as, but not limited to, optical probes, catheters, capsules and needles (e.g., a biopsy needle). Devices, systems, methods, and storage mediums may include or involve a method, such as, but not limited to, for guiding and/or determining status of engagement and/or disengagement of one or more optical connections. A device, system, method, or storage medium may detect, monitor, and/or guide a probe/catheter to minimize, reduce, and/or avoid engagement and disengagement failures and to have a robust means of determining status of probe/catheter engagement to an apparatus or system.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR BEND INFORMATION ESTIMATION
Example embodiments of the present invention relate to systems methods and computer program products for bend estimation. The system comprises a first and second light absorbers disposed at a substantially same position along an axis of a light guide and enabled to absorb first and second respective amounts of a plurality of wavelengths of a light transmitted along the light guide, a light detector enabled to detect respective intensities of the plurality of wavelengths of the light not absorbed by the first and second light absorbers, and a processor enabled to calculate a bend state of the light guide according to the detected intensities of the plurality of wavelengths of the light.
ENDOSCOPE STORAGE CART, SYSTEM AND METHODS
A cart for storage of an endoscope is provided. The cart comprises a housing having a slot configured to slidably receive a tray. The tray is configured to store an endoscope, and a timer is coupled to the housing, slot and/or tray. The timer is configured to display increments of time that the endoscope is stored in the tray. Systems and methods are also provided.
MEDICAL LUBRICANT APPLICATOR
A medical lubricant applicator comprising: a dispensing head adapted to fit to a container containing a medical lubricant, the dispensing head including: (i) a nozzle having a discharge opening from which medical lubricant from the container is dispensed; (ii) a guide element arranged relative to the nozzle to provide guiding contact with an exposed surface of a medical instrument to which the dispensed medical lubricant is to be applied whereby in operation the nozzle is with the assistance of the guide element spaced from the exposed surface of the medical instrument to avoid contact with said exposed surface whilst the medical lubricant is directed toward the exposed surface for application of said lubricant to said exposed surface via the discharge opening of the nozzle.
DEVELOPABLE AND COLLAPSABLE SHAFT DEPLOYMENT MECHANISM
A hollow rod developable actuator tool including a first link comprising an outer cylinder, a deployment ring including second link comprising a first portion pivotably connected to the first link at a first joint mounted in a first cavity in the wall of the outer cylinder and a third link comprising a second tool portion pivotably connected to the first portion at a second link, and a fourth link comprising an inner cylinder to which the second portion of the deployment ring is also pivotably connected at a third link mounted in a second cavity in the wall of the inner cylinder. When the inner cylinder of the fourth link is rotated in relation to the outer cylinder of the first link the actuator tool transitions from a first state where the deployment ring is stowed within the tool to a second state where the deployment ring is deployed externally.
Instrument Tip Protector
This invention relates to a tip protector for an instrument such as an endoscope or borescope. A tip protector device for an instrument comprises a guard portion engagable with a tip of an instrument, the guard portion including an abutment surface arranged to contact the tip such that a part of the guard portion extends distally of an end face of the tip, and the guard portion being configured to prevent contact between the guard portion and a central portion of the end face; gripping members arranged to grip a part of a shaft of the instrument; a first connection member; and a second connection member, the first and second connection members being movable relative to each other between a first, disengaged position in which the tip of the instrument can be inserted into and removed from the tip protector device, and a second, gripping position in which the gripping members contact and grip the shaft of the instrument, wherein, the first and second connection members are biased in the first or the second position.
UNIVERSAL FLUID CONTAINER ADAPTER
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that punctures a fluid container to couple with and gain access to the contents of the fluid container. In one embodiment, for example, a platform may be used to support a fluid container as one or more penetration members attached to a crossmember are advanced into the fluid container along rails connected between the platform and the crossmember. In such embodiments, the one or more penetration members may include lumens to enable a tubing set to access the contents of the fluid container.
Methods and apparatus for calibration of a sensor associated with an endoscope
Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus including an enclosure configured to receive an endoscope having an electromagnetic radiation sensor. The apparatus also includes an electromagnetic radiation source having at least a portion disposed within the enclosure. The electromagnetic radiation source is configured to emit electromagnetic radiation based on a calibration instruction. The electromagnetic radiation sensor is configured to receive at least a portion of the electromagnetic radiation when at least a portion of the endoscope is coupled to the enclosure.
TOWING DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPY
A towing device for endoscopy including a connecting portion connected to a wire of an endoscope to be moved, wherein a body of the connecting portion is broken when a set amount of tension or more is applied to the connecting portion; a guide portion including an inner path through which the connecting portion moves; a clip portion positioned at an opposite direction of the wire with respect to the guide portion and hooked by the connecting portion to be closed and grip body tissues; and an extension portion configured to move together with the guide portion and having a magnetic force.
